Sam and Jared are awesome. They're trying to prepare for their binding ceremony, but they have to contend with a bitchy sire, unwelcome do guests, attendees who don't like her, and new powers that are unpredictable.
Jared is so in love with Sam that nothing and I mean nothing will come between them..it's a shame that he has to convince his bride of this fact as well. Sam is devoted to Jared, but what women wouldn't feel a little nervous about tying him down when he can have someone who's better accepted and less homicidal. It doesn't matter though, these two have issues to work out, but they're in it for the long haul.
I loved this book. The new vampires were intriguing and just sinister enough to keep you guessing through the whole book. Sam is funny and quirky as well. She definitely keeps things interested. Jared is strong and committed to Sam and will kill anyone who interferes with his binding. The team respects Sam and they too won't let anyone mess with her without consequences (fart bomb anyone)..and every woman needs a "Fletcher" in their life.
I highly recommend this series..for me, I'm moving on to book 3 😄
So if you are hoping this book will be like the first and like the warning in the product description that states "this book contains a stubborn and occasionally homicidal female vampire, a powerful and overprotective male vampire who refuses to lose her, and scenes of a sexual, explicit nature" you will not be disappointed. If you read the first and liked it, you will like this too.

This is a great addition to the series. I loved seeing Jared and Sam further their relationship while dealing with everything else. Although I'd suggest reading book #1 before reading this book, I will note that (like book #1) this book ends without a cliffhanger and with Jared and Sam happy at the end.
In book #1, Here Be Sexist Vampires, Sam and Jared started out hating each other (or trying to) but ended the story in love and deciding to join in the vampire version of marriage, a Binding. As this story begins, Jared and Sam are being subjected to the celebrations and required events that are expected before the binding of a person as important as Jared (since he's the heir to the Grand High Master). Because of his position, the High Master Vampires show at the celebrations looking to judge Sam since she'll end up being Jared's co-ruler when the Grand High Master steps down. Some of the High Masters saw Sam fight during the big battle in the last book and aren't worried but others want to see what she can do and make no bones about their disrespect and attitude towards Sam. Jared doesn't like this but realizes that he has to let her fight her own battles lest he makes her look weak.
While all the Binding ceremony hubbub is going on, Sam, Jared and their squad are pulled in to investigating 2 issues. One ends up being a pair of vampire brothers that are doing genetic experiments on vampires and making changes in them that shouldn't be possible. When Sam is targeted by the pair, things get sketchy because they do something to her but no one has any idea what. The fact that whatever was done caused her to have issues with her powers just made things worse, especially with all the High Master vamps around wanting to see what Sam's made of. The second is a baby abduction ring that they find out about that's being run by vampires. Jared, Sam and their team have to deal with trying to track down the vamps behind the ring and figure out how to take it down. On top of all this, Jared's sire, Magda, decides to show up for the Binding ceremony, in an effort to split up Jared and Sam. This wouldn't be too bad except that she has the power to sense people's emotions and fears and uses this power in an attempt to cause a rift between Jared and Sam, using Jared's silence about his past as her means to do it. Fortunately, although some of Magda's barbs strike home, Sam isn't about to let the witch run her off and she gives back as good as she gets. Obviously there's a lot going on for Sam and Jared. They do manage to get through everything though and have their Binding ceremony to end the book in a HEA.
I totally enjoyed this addition to Sam and Jared's story. I loved seeing Jared and Sam grow their relationship and find their place together. They had a lot to deal with but managed to get past everything together without letting things get to them or between them. The action and romance are well balanced and there was always something going on to keep my interest. I can't wait to read book #3 and will be starting it immediately. I'd recommend this book. 2 thumbs up. :D
