I LOVED it, not as erotic as some of her works, ;) but what a story. It pulls you in and just keeps you there as you read.
It’s about Alice Grey, a Flying Squirrel Shifter who's past saw her mix with the wrong crowd along with her life as a thief for a period in her life. She’s on the run from some evil Rottweiler Shifter bad boy - Bobby, who is out of prison and after her for the loss of some money she stole, amongst other things.
Hot on her tail is Jake Redfield, a Diamondback Rattlesnake Shifter, who was an undercover cop when she first meets him. Now he’s a Private Detective and following her. For mixed reasons as we learn, but all good. :) He’s not the big burly Shifter we all know so well, but he still is powerful, strong and deadly.
Bobby does catch up with them, along with his goons and the pair have to place their trust in the local Police for awhile. All hell breaks loose as expected with good prevailing over evil but not without some injuries.
This tale also tells of their relationship, their feelings for each other that were expressed once and now years later they wonder if either can still feel the same, if not more. It’s gut wrenching at times and filled with just the right amount of humour to lighten the mood. They are a great couple and for myself personally, I would like more. :)
It flows well from start to finish and I had to read in one sitting. :)
Mandy M Rosko has this habit of leaving it open to your imagination, as I have found from other books by her, but I still loved this tale of two characters who deserved their HEA and got it. :)
Bite Me is a blend of PNR, romance, comedy, mafia, suspense, betrayal and justice. I really enjoyed the way those elements combined to create a truly enjoyable story. It was entirely different from everything I've read lately which was a very pleasant surprise.
I highly recommend Bite Me. Mandy Rosko is a new-to-me author. I intend to read more of her books and definitely suggest you give her a try.
