Alexis White has not had an easy in life and much luck in love. After being spurned and betrayed by the one person she trusts the most, she decides to never let any man hurt her again.
She then leads a wild existence full of partying, alcohol, no strings attached sex, and heavily distancing herself from the naïve girl she once was.
Until....she meets Luc. The enigmatic Frenchman who knocks her world upside down and raises feelings Alexis thought was once buried. Now with Luc in the picture, and slowly mending Alexis' broken heart, it's only a matter of time that.....
Dylan--Alexis' first love, and the boy who broke her heart, returns to the scene and is determined to win Alexis back.
Dun dun dun!
What will become of these characters? Who will Alexis choose? Newcomer Luc or the one that got away?... And when danger lurks its ugly eye, will Alexis find true love in any of these two suitors? Or find heartbreak and disaster in the end?
#A wonderful and deftly crafted introduction to the Twisted series! Author R.C. Stephens intricately flushes out all of the characters' POV's, backgrounds and emotions out so delicately and realistically that it was easy to empathize with all protagonists' plights and where their thoughts and emotions were coming from.
I'll definitely be on the lookout for bk 2! Especially after that cliffhanger that the author left us with! And what a surreal coincidence that this is an author's book debut! So awesome!! Congrats!
