Review

"Highly recommended to all lovers of solo piano music." -- Omega New Age Directory

"I found this beautiful solo piano CD absolutely delightful! Upbeat and bittersweet! I didn't want it to end." -- - Christina Lord, Creations, Winter 1997, (Long Island)

"Sowash has magic fingers that roam freely on the keys, freedom that is genuine conveyance of love... very impressive indeed." -- - Chuck Diliberto, Awareness Magazine, (San Diego) Jul/Aug 1997

"These lyrical piano inventions by Bradley Sowash are, indeed, bittersweet. The melodies seem familiar enough to make you lean back trustingly--but just as you do, Sowash pulls out some brilliant touch that pulls you to the edge of your seat. Try a few cuts; you'll probably stay for the whole album." - Carol Wright -- New Age Voice

"With its invitingly homey cover art and contemplative mood, this solo piano album makes excellent seasonal listening. Similar to George Winston's style, Sowash's unaccompanied performances enable him to spontaneously incorporate a wide variety of timely influences; the result is sweetly conversational, like the shared memories of a dear friend over a piping hot cup of tea. You can almost hear the fireplace crackle as Sowash instrumentally elaborates a tale of "Blackberry Winter" or waxes nostalgic over "Red Ball Jets." But what sets this album apart from the pack is its superb sound quality; close your eyes and you could swear that Bradley's playing the ivories just behind your chair. Enjoy this private concert whenever you want to cherish memories of home." - PJ Birosik -- Monthly Aspectarian

“For lovers of contemporary solo piano, Bittersweet is sure to become a favorite." -- - Steve Ryals, New Age Retailer(Oct. '97)

“Overall a very warm and agreeable presentation.” -- - John Collinge, spirit of change magazine (March/April 1997)

Bradley Sowash is a very talented jazz pianist with a sophisticated style. This is not elevator blah or redundant mass market mush.....this is the real thing. Bittersweet goes especially well with a good red wine, pungent cheese and intelligent conversation after a long day. It is nice to discover talent and style and this cd has both. Buy the CD and the wine, you won't be disappointed.

I heard Bradley Sowash for the first time on NPR one afternoon and although I couldn't remember what I had heard I decided that I needed to hear more. I am not disappointed. I often put it on and listen while I'm working at my computer at work and all the distractions just melt away.
