* Don't be scared, Charley. I'll keep you safe. Every part of you. Especially your heart."
* "Eyes on me, baby. Don't close your eyes when you come, I want to see you come apart."
He chuckles his hands finding his eyes. "You're so good at playing the victim, aren't you?" His eyes narrow, the smile leaving his face to the point that he's almost vivid of emotion.
I don't know this look. I've never seen this look.
This is a new to me author. Normally I do not like cheating but I am so glad I read this book. It was perfectly written. It is everything I look for in a romance novel. It had hotness, but it didn't take away from the story, it added to it. It held my attention from beginning to end and left me wanting more. It had angst, kept me swiping the pages. This is definitely a five star book for me. I would re read this novel and recommend this. If you don't like cheating, give this a chance. The best book I came across lately. I don't give five stars easily, this author earned these five stars. A remarkable read.
A part of me feels that the heroine was in the wrong for cheating. That might be the wife in me speaking.
Will was just perfect. I am not sure how this story will end but I am definitely continuing on with this duet. I am glad I just found this so I can binge read. Will is just dominate, protective, romantic and possessive. Every thing you could want in a man.
Matt- I am not to sure what to say about him. He did keep a huge secret and has his dirt. I for some reason feel sorry for him. I am ending this review because I have to read the next book to see how these characters story ends.
This was a new to me author, This may be my first read but definitely won't be my last. If your looking for a good romance read to escape in I definitely recommend this duet.
I am shocked I love each of these characters. Usually the one that cheats I hate , this is not the case. I loved each of there characters. The writing is remarkable, pulled me in from the beginning. I felt there emotions, there love, the heartache. This is a MUST READ
In the hands of a less talented author Charley's actions would not be as sympathetic, however in BitterSweet Surrender, you not only feel emphatic to her situation but actually get to enjoy each of her small victories along the way.
Be warned, this book is sexy as hell and will have you blushing and looking over your shoulder if you are reading it in public. Damn.
I can't wait for the followup as my finger is already hovering over my mouse, ready for my one-click.
Charley is broken and lonely, two things she’s desperately afraid of being. Matt, her husband isn’t a bad guy in the usual way, he doesn't hit her or yell, but he doesn’t see her, which for a woman like Charley is almost as bad. Enter in hot and mysterious Dr. William Montgomery, and all bets are off. It’s HOT, scoring taboo, forbidden love at it’s best. It’s romance, the heart fluttering, I want a love like that, down to its core. It’s raw, and at times gut wrenching.
There are few twists and turns along the way, and an ending that will leave you begging for more! I can’t wait Bittersweet Addiction!
It is never right to cheat or even excusable but sometimes circumstances just lead to it. That was what happened with Charlotte Pierce. She didn't go looking for someone else or to cheat on her husband, she just found a strong connection with another man.
Will didn't set out to fall for her but their chemistry was undeniable.
QB did an excellent job making you feel exactly what Charley was feeling: loneliness and like she was doing something wrong but never had a chance to right it because Matt never made her a priority. Then the good parts of where she had gained her strength and stood up for herself in order to have what she ultimately wanted all along. Last but certainly not least the hot steamy scenes between Charley and Will set your reading device in fire.
I am so excited for their story to continue in Bittersweet Addiction.
