As any good coloring book, the images are all one sided, so there's no worry of bleeding onto the back if you want to use markers. If you use very strong markers, like Sharpies, though, you'll want to keep paper between the one you're coloring and the next one or it will bleed onto the next page. The images are pretty creepy and bizarre. There's noting really inappropriate in here, but kids might not enjoy the images of skulls and gas masks and stuff. The images range from cutesy and artistic to more realistic, so there are a variety of images for lots of people to enjoy, but as I said, most of them are pretty simple. It's a nice difference to most of the other coloring books I have, though, and is definitely among my favorites. I can't wait to get volume 2!
