"A perfect example of escapist pleasure for both children and adults. A true page-turner, Salgari's tale of exotica is a welcome diversion." - Kirkus Indie Reviews
An exciting tale of swashbuckling intrigue and honour. Fans of Rafael Sabatini and Captain Blood will enjoy finding another author who writes in a similar vain.

From the Author
Sharing traditions. That's what we do at ROH Press. For over a century the adventure novels of Emilio Salgari have been popular with children in Italy and Latin America. His most popular works were pirate tales featuring Sandokan, 'the Tiger of Malaysia' and the Black Corsair, a nobleman turned pirate to avenge the murder of his brothers. They are considered classics for readers aged 10-14 and have been the basis for comic books, TV series and movies.
ROH Press has published the first ever English translations of his most popular works. In 2008, they were awarded the Italian Ministry of Cultural Affairs' Translation Award for the English language version of Emilio Salgari's classic The Tigers of Mompracem. In 2009 the Sandokan and Black Corsair novels were both listed in Julia Eccleshare's 1001 Children's Books You Must Read Before You Grow Up.

Avast! Read it on ye Kindle connected to wikipedia so's ye gets a map showing there whereabouts of the action. Erstwhile, gets ye an atlas so's ye can follow the navigation. Where be Maracaibo? Tortuga? Y'er adrift without such orientation and may as well be marooned.
Don't forget to read it with rum!
