This book accomplished its stated objective of providing easy-to-follow directions with clear photos for 25 common household electrical projects. I purchased the book for assistance in installing a ceiling light. I haven't completed that as yet, because the existing fixture is ancient and issues are present that aren't contemplated by the book.

Some of the projects are simple repairs that could be required by any homeowner as a matter of course, such as removing a broken light bulb, replacing a three-prong plug or fixing a lamp cord. Each chapter covers a particular project, and specifies the tools which will be needed. Then the step-by-step explanation is accompanied by clear, color photos which are very helpful in interpreting the instructions.

I think this book will be of assistance to any homeowner who wishes to perform relatively straightforward electrical repairs or installations.
