Product Description

Black Diamond's best all-around crampon, the Sabretooth features a lightweight stainless steel design. Equally at home on Denali as climbing in Ouray, the Sabretooth features horizontal frontpoints to provide stability in snow, penetrate alpine ice, run up waterfall ice and hold rock edges securely. The secondary points create a stable platform with shear resistance for control in mushy conditions; serrated sub-points grab and hold when you're rocking over your feet. Its stainless steel construction won't rust and avoids environmentally toxic coatings that wear off in the mountains.

I used these with Scarpa Mont Blanc GTX boots ( I was almso impressed with these). I climbed Mt adams which was 90% snow on the way up and down, and these were fantastic. Adjustment for size was a breeze and they stayed tight and on despite 40%+ inclines. you can adjust the slide between the heel and toe for large adjustemnts, and there is a dial on the rear heel clip for finer adjustemnt. I had 0 issues with these cramp-ons. Theres was very little ice during the climp so i'm not sure how they would do on ice. The black safety strap is LONG! So if your worried about not having enough, don't, I had way more length than I needed.

Excellent product, used in the Sierra Nevada of Colombia, and fulfilled all expectations. Achieve 2 peaks with 3 members of the team (the white Ritacuba sugar and bread) and Sabretooth Crampon by Black Diamond CLP 000 were those who had better performance in all aspects, very good grip on the boot, excellent traction in promotion, and constant release of snow crampon. In short I fall in love with this article and recommend it highly. Thanks Black Diamond.

Used BD Sabertooth Pro crampons for vertical waterfall ice (Ginga no Taki on Hokkaido) with La Sportiva Spantik boots. No problems at all on ice. See my video entitled "Climbing Ginga No Taki waterfall on Hokkaido with Black Diamond Viper tools and Sabertooth crampons" on YouTube.

i first used while climbing mt st helens in winter. i have the versions with the strap toe. these are my go to crampons when i have to break out my mountaineering boots and i love these things there light there strong and i never feel like im going to slip even on steep ice and packed snow. they provide great purchase and are overall reliable in steep conditions. i like how easy they are to adjust and take on and off in sketch weather conditions. i love black diamond and most of my gear is black diamond just because i know how reliable there gear is. these are coming with me on my next winter accent of north sister as a semi technical crampon they work perfect and ill continue to risk my life with these.
