Experts estimate that Americans consume more than 25 percent of the world's oil but have control over less than 3 percent of its proven oil supply. This unbalanced pattern of consumption makes it possible for foreign governments, corrupt political leaders, terrorist organizations and oil conglomerates to hold the economy and the citizens of the United States in a virtual stranglehold. There is no greater proof of this than the direct relationship between skyrocketing gas prices and the explosion of wealth among those who control the world's supply of oil. In Black Gold Stranglehold, Jerome R. Corsi and Craig Smith expose the fraudulent science that has made America so vulnerable: the belief that oil is a fossil fuel and that it is a finite resource.

Editorial Reviews

From the Inside Flap

It is estimated that Americans consume more than 25 percent of the world's oil but have control over less than 3 percent of its proven supply. This extremely unbalanced pattern of consumption makes it possible for foreign governments, corrupt political leaders, terrorist organizations, and oil conglomerates to place the citizens of the United States in a stranglehold of supply and demand. There is no greater proof of this than the direct relationship between skyrocketing gas prices and the exploding wealth of those who control the supply of oil.

In Black Gold Stranglehold, Jerome R. Corsi and Craig R. Smith expose the fraudulent science that has been sold to the American people in order to enslave them: the belief that oil is a fossil fuel and a finite resource. On the contrary, this book presents authoritative research, currently known mostly in the scientific community, that oil is not a product of decaying dinosaurs and prehistoric forests. Rather, it is a natural product of the earth. The scientific evidence cited by Corsi and Smith suggests that oil is constantly being produced by the earth, far below the planet's surface, and that it is brought to attainable depths by the centrifugal forces of the earth's rotation.

In great detail Corsi and Smith explore the international and domestic politics of oil production and consumption. This includes the wealth and power of major oil conglomerates, the manipulation of world economies by oil-producing states and rogue terrorist regimes, and the political agenda of radical environmentalists and conservationists who obstruct the use of oil reserves currently controlled by the U.S. government. The authors offer an understanding of the dangerous situation America faces because its currency is no longer tied to any precious and truly scarce metals such as gold, as it was until 1973. This situation could easily lead to the devastation of the U.S. economy if Middle Eastern countries are able to enact current plans to accept only the Euro or gold-backed currencies such as the Gold Dinar instead of the U.S. dollar as the standard currency for oil.

Black Gold Stranglehold will dramatically change the debate about oil. The significance of its message is sure to cause thoughtful people to reconsider the current dependence of the U.S. economy on imported oil.

From the Back Cover

DID YOU KNOW?

We are not running out of oil now, and we may never run out of it.

Today we have more proven oil reserves than ever before in human history, despite decades of increased consumption.

The United States has enough oil offshore and in Alaska to be oil independent for decade to come.

The money Americans spend on gas ultimately funds radical terrorist regimes and their supporters in the war against America.

Illegal immigrants are allowed to flood our southern border in order to keep the oil flowing from Mexico.

Carbon dioxide, the bogeyman of the radical environmental movement, is the "food" of plants and trees.

If we grow more trees, they will "consume" the carbon dioxide released by automobiles.

Scientific evidence suggests that in the coming decades the earth is as likely to cool as it is to warm.

"Global warming" is a scientific hoax at the center of the radical political agenda of environmental extremists.

After reading Black Gold Stranglehold, you will never think the same way about oil. If you think oil is fossil fuel, be prepared to be challenged. If you think we are running out of oil, be prepared for some shocking research you've never heard about. If you think the world is warming up because we are burninig gasoline in our cars, you will be surprised to learn that many scientists disagree.

For the nay-sayers, you've missed the points in this well-written

and expressed book. The numbers of 1% or 10% as quoted from

the post earlier, could have been a possible typo. However, the

points were well received and explained: Many plants thrives on

CO2 (carbon dioxide); the trees are not dying because of it or lack

of it, they're dying because of the viral diseases made by men

filled with rage and hatred from all over. [Another book about this

    should follow.]

This book aligns well against the promises of oil for the families of

Abraham (that's us in the USA) in the book of Genesis: "Oil will be

    abundant and found...."

I will not be surprised to find ecological terrorists and conservationists

teaming up and sabotaging the efforts of USA finding oil near our gulfs.

In fact, it is so hard for the USA to find oil 50 miles off the Florida

Panhandle when China (who has just recently) struck oil of over a million

barrels in the same area! The USA gets chewed on for destroying the

areas of lush-land when in fact, it is the USA who is more alert to

prevent creating catastrophes. Those acceded to the throne conservationists

should be hunting those countries who proliferates often in the seas

with toxins (like China, North Korea, to name a few). There are

more accidents caused by those in the East, South America and Far East.

This book refutes the Myth about the source of what's colloquially called 'Fossil Fuels'. It proves that these fuels are Carbohydrates inherent to the earth crust itself, and not to any Fauna/Flora that had existed ages ago on the surface of the earth and decayed over millions of years. It shows that, specifically, oil is a mineral no different from water, iron, copper, and all other minerals found in the Earth crust.

The clearest proof presented is that the same Carbohydrates exist on, and in most known stars and planets. Especially known is that Jupiter's moon, Titan, has oceans composed of liquid Methane (CH4, or Natural Gas), while no Fauna/Flora is known to have existed on it or on any other heavenly body that we are aware of.

I would probably rate this book five stars, but have very few neutral reads to compare this too. I am uplifted regarding abiotic exploration vs. fossil fuel exploration. There is new hope for our old world... now, if only we can convince the extreme environmentalist who refuse new information with wreckless abandon. The Left will destroy our world as we know it. Great read and plenty of factual information. Worth the buy and it reveals many talking points. Institutional scholars would do well to include this book in their list of reads, not only for themselves, but their students as well.

A book of REVELATIONS---though only to those who succumb to the propaganda Media, yet are open-minded enough to read a book that contradicts everything they have been brain-washed to belive in.

This book PROVES that everything we (as a society) think we know about the so-called "Fossil" Fuels, Global Warming, etc. are all intentional and calculated lies driven towards nefarious ends.

If you read it, you will first discover that "Fossil" Fuels have absolutely NOTHING to do with fossils. Just ask yourself how can Fossils be found on Saturn's moon, Titan and everywhere else in the Universe---unless you also believes that Dinosaurs had lived, or still are living everywhere in the Universe?

Then you will discover that HydroCarbons (Oil, Natural Gas, Coal) have been a part of the Earth Mantle ever since the Earth was formed. This means that you can find Hydrocarbons basically WHEREVER on Earth if you dig deep enough. That's why recent Deep-Sea drillings (in particular) have found Tens of vast oil fields. That's why the Hubbert prediction that we would run out of oil by 1970 (or 1990, or whenever) is so laughable.

The bottom line is that the Earth is awash in Hydrocarbons and that we only need to advance our technologically enough to extract as much as we will ever need for the next Million years, or so.

This book discusses a primary knowledge that is necessary if you ever hope
to grasp why it costs what it does to fill up the tank of your car.

Point one -- Petroleum is not a fossil fuel.

Point two -- Neither is black coal.

It won't take you long to put together the rest.

    Have fun ! dxr

Corsi and Smith certainly contribute to a better understanding about the real nature of oil and natural gas (which, in fact, are not fossil fuels) and the impact on socio-economic and enviromental issues such as peak oil myth and global warming hoax.
