I haven't read any books by Soraya Naomi before, so this was a real surprise. I thoroughly enjoyed this one, even though I had never read any of the previous Chicago Syndicate stories. Ms Naomi wrote this book in such a way that it can be easily read as a standalone. Her descriptions and details allow for a new reader to follow what has previously occurred and get stuck into the current story. To me, that's a sign of good writing, as you are not "forced" to read the earlier books in the series. Not only was the story a romance, but there were many twists and turns throughout that kept me wanting to know what was going to happen next. I love the plotline, it drew me in and continued to hold me with all the intricate details that were constantly added. I will definitely be looking up and reading the previous five books in this series. Soraya Naomi has won another fan here. ~ Reading Is Our Satisfaction Blog - 5 stars.
I like stories with an edge to them and this one definitely fits the bill. This author is someone that readers should watch out for. Black Hat Hacker is brilliant! ~ Shakespeare's Wench Book Blog - 5 stars.
Soraya Naomi has outdone herself! Henry was a total alpha male, who knew how to hack with the back of his thumb. With his extraordinary skills with the computer, he is in the high ranks of the Syndicate. But one look at Mary he was done for. She is his downfall or rather his upbringing of finally opening up to the fact that love is not a weakness. ~ The Romance Rebels - 5 stars.
I do believe I came late to the party with Soraya Naomi as the host, as this is the first book in this series that I've read. The trials and tribulations that Mary and Henry go through moving from friends to lovers didn't simply make my eyes leak, no, it was more like a snot slinging fest as I bawled like a baby. This author has a talented writing style that also comes off as highly original and addictive as I devoured this amazing story in one sitting. There are no such things as dull moments anywhere as this book is filled with angst galore, nail biting action, sizzling sexy scene goodness, and sweet romance. Her twists and turns kept me on my toes while loud f-bombs were dropped in every direction, as I never saw most of them coming. Since I don't want to drop spoilers, I'm going to keep this short, plus I need to go back and start the whole Chicago Syndicate series as I'm a fan after this one story! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND! ~ The Power of Three Readers - 5 stars.
Soraya really has this genre of mafia romances down to science - she excels at writing these books. And Black Hat Hacker just adds to her awesome collection. Henry and Mary tango around the line of friendship. They feel a pull to one another but try to keep things platonic. Yea - that just isn't happening for very long. When these two finally do give in to another, WOW!! Some of those scenes that Soraya wrote - DAYUM!!!! However, it wasn't just the intimate scenes that were setting things on fire. There was some messy mafia business going down that added to the drama between Henry and Mary. Soraya does a fantastic job of intertwining and twisting everything together. I was on the edge of my seat reading this, needing to know where this story was going to go. And I was not disappointed one time. I love this world she has created and I love these characters as if they were my own mafia family. ~ Goodreads Reviewer - 5 stars.
I've been a huge fan of Soraya Naomi and her Chicago Syndicate series ever since I read For Fallon and she's still pumping out greatness. As far as mafia romance stories go, BLACK HAT HACKER definitely held its own. I've been intrigued by Henry from when he was first introduced and I was ecstatic that he was getting a book too. ~ Natalie The Biblioholic - 5 stars.
This is book 6 in the Chicago Syndicate series. That being said it is the first that I have read. Did I fell the need to have read the other five novels first? No, I found I was able to figure it all out as I went. There were plenty of details given about the different characters that you were able to following along. I will go back now and read the other five though. I crave to find out more about the head men of the Chicago Syndicate.I found this novel to be a page turn with many twists and turns. I was unable to figure out what was about to happen next. I find myself wondering about the other members of the Chicago Syndicate so I must go back and read the others while I await the next installment into their lives. It was my first by certainly not my last read by Soraya Naomi!~My Timeout Book Blog - 5 stars.
"For Fallon (Chicago Syndicate, #1)" voted "Best Breakout Novel 2014" by Novel Grounds Semi Annual Literary Awards.
Soraya Naomi's debut series Chicago Syndicate is a Contemporary Romance/Romantic Suspense/Mafia Romance filled with love, lies, deceit, and betrayal. Soraya Naomi is also an ardent reader and reads many genres, but she favours intense, seductive, and provocative novels where the male character loves fiercely without remorse or boundaries. She has a passionate obsession with the written word and indulges in chocolate pastries much too often.
