Classic! Love It

I heard a couple tracks from this album on a mixtape. I own everything by Black Sheep. I didn't even know this was out. Needless to say this is easily their best album next to Wolf In Sheep's Clothing. But this is more like the modern day version. Dres has lost non of his flow. He's still just as witty with metaphors and punch lines as he was back in 1992. With all the garbage that's being played and promoted now, it's little surprise that this album went unnoticed. Real Hip Hop doesn't get promoted. Not in the United States anyway. The album is an excellent listen from start to finish. Since the album insert is very generic and gives no information on production or anything I have to assume that Mr. Lawnge did most if not all the production since it is a Black Sheep album and not a solo album. It's definitely a much needed breath of fresh air in Hip Hop today and the world in general. Takes me back to happier days because the album has a very soothing and uplifting vibe to it. I would give it 10 stars if I could. It fits right in with De La Soul and Tribe Called Quest albums. Originally the Native Tounge Family. Both De La Soul and A Tribe Called Quest are great groups too and I have everything by them as well. I miss this kind of sound in Hip Hop. It's like a modern day version of a 90's Golden Era rap album. Definitely worth owning if you are a Black Sheep fan or a fan of real Hip Hop in general. I have all the Golden Age albums and recent releases from Golden Age rappers because the ability to get these classics will be coming to an end. So if you don't have them you'll be forced to listen to the pre programmed mind numbing trash that's out now. I loved their debut album A Wolf In Sheep's Clothing. Didn't care for Non-Fiction though I do like and have the remix singles on vinyl and cassette same as I do for AWISC. The Black Pool of Genius is different from the other Black Sheep albums in that no song needs a remix. They are all bangers and this album can be listened to from start to finish without skipping any tracks. If it doesn't grab you the first time, I urge you to give at least two more FULL listens. I will add this to my collection of rare, obscure and little known real Hip Hop classics from the 2000's like A.G.'s Git Dirty Radio and KRS-One's Sneak Attack. Thank you Black Sheep for a much needed breath of fresh air and an all around feel good album. You will never be forgotten by me.

FINALLY - and as good as ever

If you can ignore the fact that Rosie Perez is included on a track (and you should ignore that fact, and that track), this album has a great flow, and continues the signature style that Dres created back with Wolf in Sheep's Clothing. Buy it if you liked the original Black Sheep and you won't be disappointed! I can't even detract a star due to Rosie... without her it would be six stars.
