5.0 out of 5 stars Very thoughtfully designed
By Noelle Taylor on February 13, 2019
These are the cutest stinkin toys, I can’t stop admiring them myself! The packaging is clean and beautiful, complete with extra batteries and a small screw driver. The fish floats just below the surface of the water with the rubber tail sticking out just enough for the kitties to actually fish it out- which they love! The tail changes speed/tempo every few seconds, allowing it to naturally swim in different directions and make ripples- truly mimicking a real fish. That gives it a realistic touch that I think keeps the cats interested, because if it just flapped around in a circle, it would be annoying. The lasers blink, and are cute too. Definitely a successful play-time. My cats are now so interested in the sink and tub haha, even when empty. The only thing I can’t judge yet is battery life. We’ve played with them for a little over an hour total now, so, so far so good!

5.0 out of 5 stars Cats love it!
By R. Emery on March 9, 2019
My cats don't always get along, my calico is kind of a brat to the other two. But they all sit around the container when I have these fish in it. They are so entranced by the fish that they don't even fight for a closer spot! They stop relatively soon after taking them out of water, I haven't had an issue yet. Only problem is one of my tabby's loves to bat it out of the water and then carry it around the house so I can't find it. It's a good problem to have!

4.0 out of 5 stars Bigger than I expected!
By Erin on April 25, 2019
For some reason I was picturing something smaller than this, but I am pleasantly surprised. I included bananas for scale just in case anyone else has the same problems with imagination that I did.

So far, so good. I clearly need a bigger container. I bought a 6inch rose bowl just because I didn't want to invest too much cash if my cats hated it or these fish were junk.

There's a small hidden sensor on both sides that turns them off and on. Sometimes picking the fish up is enough to trigger the sensor and make it turn on temporarily and I spent like 15 mins shaking the fish trying to figure out how to turn them on permanently. I even thought maybe I had to add another battery myself. Nope! Not sure how the sensor works but it seems to do okay in water.

Only other complaint is that they float a bit too much and could use some internal weight to pull them down into the water more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cute, fun toy for a good price!
By Kristen Townsley on February 13, 2019
I am impressed with these little robot fish. The package comes with 4 fish, 8 extra batteries (each fish already has a battery in it), and a little screwdriver to replace the batteries with. They don’t move fast, but between the noise, the light, and the movement, my cats were fascinated. In fact, they were so interested that 2 of my cats dropped their catitudes and forgot to hate each other for 3 minutes. That alone makes it worth $15. Buy it, it’s fun watching them play with it too.

1.0 out of 5 stars Batteries Leaked!
By Christina on June 5, 2019
This is NOT a good purchase. The batteries enclosed were plentiful, but of poor quality-they LEAKED into the water and put my feline at risk of sickness or even death. These SHOULD NOT BE ON THE MARKET!

5.0 out of 5 stars The boys love them - so do I
By Jane on June 16, 2019
After reading the reviews I was not sure about these but we have had a great deal of fun with them. Sam, in particular, loves watching them but Dean will take a turn as well. I found no issue with battery life. I have gotten them out several times and so far we have no dead fish. I am very happy with the purchase. I will probably buy a set for my son's kitties too. Gotta' spoil the grandkids, after all.
Revised as of 07/22/19 - both cats still ove these when I get them out and they are still running on the original batteries. I only put out 2 at a time so this helps to prolong life.

1.0 out of 5 stars NOT A SAFE TOY FOR MY CATS
Reviewed in Canada on August 6, 2019
These fish toys are NOT safe for my cats. My male cat was able to scoop the fish out of the water quickly. In doing so I was shocked to see how the fins on the toy fish fell off, exposing wire! I was so worried that my cat would choke on the fins: the wire parts alarmed me. These fish toys are great if you have a pet cat that is not active or adventurous! I am very disappointed with this product since it is not a safe toy for my cats!!! I have included a photo that shows the detached orange fin on this product and also the exposed wire!

Very impressed! Well packaged and just put them in the water. They don’t move fast, however, the sound, the light, and the movement, my cats are well into it. Buy it, it’s fun watching them play with it too.
