I bought this as a backup for my current smartphone (iphone 5S)-- have had the same model in the past, so I am used to the phone. I have to say, aside from the box which is a bit beat-up, the phone looks and behaves as if it is brand new, and for a bargain basement price. It came with the battery, charging cord, short manual and a new Blackberry leather case which I wasn't expecting. I would give this 5 stars but I want to see if it works for a couple of months before I do that so.....more to follow. Right now, very pleased with purchase

This was my 5th Blackberry phone and I really liked some things about it. I am an old retired guy that does not use a cell phone much at all, usually 150 minutes a month. I did want wifi and that is why I bought the phone but it only uses a system called bis. That is a blackberry system that can be added to some cell phone contracts, AT&A charges $10.00 a month for some of it's plans. That is just so you can use the bis system and get on the wifi. Well I don't use the phone enough to pay at least $60.00 a month so the phone did not work for me. The track pad is a real nice improvment and the phone is a breeze to use. Blackberry is fading fast, almost done from what I have heard. Anyway I traded the phone in on a LG Ally and love it. In my book Blackberrys are for business or users with deep pockets for large plans. I am finally done with Blackberrys.

I purchased this March 31st, 2012, and it's January 4th, 2013, now. I have had no issues with my Blackberry Curve 8530. The only issue I had was my own fault. I pulled charger too hard out of phone one day, and the metal park fell out and wouldn't fit back in. I've had to charge my battery 2 times a day and rotate from my old Blackberry to my new one, just to get by. Annoying, but that's why I'm on here to buy from this same seller again...as I had no issues with my phone, other than my own fault.

Picture showed Sprint Logo on screen of phone. It is a Verizon Phone, cannot use with Sprint. Seller wanted $10 for restocking and $4.99 for shipping and handling plus would have to paid shipping to send it back myself . Cheaper for me to keep it and re sell it for less money then to put out over half the cost of the phone to send it back. That will teach me for not reading all the way to the end.

Phone was delivered very next day. After opening the box, I inspected the phone and battery. I was surprised to see that the battery had a pink paper on the end which means WATER DAMAGE! The phone seemed to be in ok condition. Tried to charge the phone, but it would not turn on. I am pretty sure this phone was listed as 'NEW'. After inspecting it, I came to the conclusion that this phone has been used and the battery was no good. Sent the whole thing back to the seller. Will NOT be buying a phone from AMAZON again! You just can't trust people anymore! Very disappointing!
