I've had this assault pack since 2000 when I was still in the Army. Through six years in the military, as well as numerous personal hiking expeditions, this bag has never let me down. I actually have the green "olive drab" color, but with the built in camel-back pouch, this pack has been great. Heavy duty zippers have never broken or come off the zipper teeth, and the back pack doesn't hold dirt, mud, or even saw dust on the exterior. I've carried this bag with me up Kilimanjaro and en-route to Machu Picchu, and I'd never want to use anything else as a day pack.

Use it on my motorcycle, for school, for work, for hiking, for biking, for traveling!
This bag is awesome! Had the same one in the military but was stolen... A must have! No sings of wear and tear and I have had it for almost 2 years! I wear it every day!

I have had this bag for seven years now and it hasn't been an easy seven years for this bag. I've used this bag for just about everything and it is one tough mother. The zippers and straps are high quality and the material is extremely strong. i've carried this bag through Iraq and Afganistan and a whole mess of other places and it is by far the best bag I've ever owned.

I use this for hiking and for and "emergency" bag in my car. I have had it for over a year and it has held up extremely well. I purchased it on recommendation from a friend. It carries everything I need for an overnight in the woods.

I bought this at Ranger Joe's at Ft. Benning in 2003 on liberty from infantry school. Over ten years later and this bag still looks new. I have used it for travel, camping and as a patrol bag as a police officer. Looking back I am glad that I purchased it in black as it doesn't scream military when using it for civilian travel. There is no molle loops but again I like the fact that it helps it work as a dual purpose tactical/civilian pack. I would suggest buying the add on packs and stuff sack for this pack to increase storage and modularity. I would also suggest using some plastic sign board and making a stiffener that you can slide into the hydration slot, it makes a world of difference. If you are going to use a hydration bladder I would suggest placing it in the main compartment and packing around it as a full hydration bladder in the dedicated pouch will make the back of the pack bulge in the middle making it uncomfortable to carry. Bottom line if you drop the money on this pack you won't be disappointed and I can guarantee you will get over a decade of hard use out of this pack.
