I downloaded this to my Kindle as one of several games I put on the device, and I can't believe how much I wound up playing it! It is very well designed in that it is extremely easy to play. I'm not much of a real gambler, so this is my type of gambling.

I've even found that it is extremely informative with tips and hints on when to Hit, Stand, Double Up, etc. It even has a counter built in for how many consecutive times you make the correct moves without using the Hint feature. Even though I don't like to gamble, I find that I would feel a whole lot more confident, should I ever find myself at a table.

All in all, this is a great and fun way to get to play some blackjack without having to travel to a casino and likely lose a bunch of money. It's a great play for the Kindle too, excellent job on the design of this game!

Playing a card game on Kindle is a fun diversion. It transfers well from the 3-D world of holding cards, placing bets, and having a real-life dealer. Once my husband saw that he could play Blackjack on my Kindle, I had to cajole him into giving it back to me--yes, it's that good!

Here are Blackjack's strong and weak points:

    Pros
    * The game is already familiar to you.
    * If you need instructions, they are readily available and easy to understand
    * Playing solo is satisfying
    * It can however, be played with a partner(s)-- a bit awkward due to its size
    * If you can't make up your mind, the game offers advice
    * If your selection wasn't good, the game `tutors' you
    * The graphics are sharp and clear
    * Its size and weight make it ideal to take along in a briefcase or purse

    Cons
    * Using the tiny 5-way button slows down the game

Suggestion for Kindle: Consider adding color and a `dealer's voice'.

Don't waste your time. This game is not set up to let you win. I played ober 20,00 hands and only one 38% of the hands. 7% wre pushes and the dealer won 55% of the time. Everytime i duble the dealer gets 21 and it happens so fast it is almost like when the double is selected it is set up automatically to give the dealer 21. The dealer repaetedly will get 20 when you are stuck with 15, 16, or 17. You will end up getting very frustrated with this game it is not fun at all. You would think that Amazon would try and at least make it fun for the player. I will absoulyetly not by a game from Amazon anymore. Again even though it is free it is not worth it.. Shame on you Amazon. I expected better than that from you.

As the title says...... I have to agree with a couple of other posts that the dealer hits 21 on 6 cards FAR too often. Double on 11 and you'll get a 2 or three most often. Dealer gets blackjack three times as often as you will, too. Since it's fishy, I played like the dealer - draw up to 16 on every hand, no matter what, and kept tabs on what happened. Much of it was equal, but I busted on 16 18 times and didn't 4 times, while the dealer was 50/50. And yes, the dealer had 9 blackjacks to my 3. Seems it pulls up cards as it needs them, instead of a real deal, but that's just me. Notice that if you're dealt 20 and the dealer has 10 up, his down card will be 10 99% of the time, like it's hardwired. 4,5,6 up and he'll have something that adds up to under 10, way too often. It's easy to win at blackjack when you can never bust on your first hit. There's a one in three chance any card will be 10, but you'll get the tens at the wrong time, trust me. It's fun, it's just not really blackjack, unless I'm missing something. A truly fair game would be FAR better. Not to rant, but a really good game for the Kindle would be a fine thing. This is more frustrating than real blackjack. Sure, I have $65,000 bank right now. Not a loser, just the game is, a bit. Addendum: It seems $100k is the magic number where the dealer cracks down and takes you. Took me for $30k in two days - you just can't win. "Oh, look, I got 21 again! Aren't I lucky!" Today was A,A,A,A,6,6 for 20. Gimme a break.....That's it for me, I just can't take this lousy game anymore.....

Good for relaxing when you need to decompress.

While not a high end game like xBox, the player controls and graphics are VERY good especially for those of us who remember Pong, a 2D table tennis game released by Atari in 1972 and one of the earliest electronic games invented.

This FREE version of blackjack functions as well as any cheap hand held card game, and features a realistic view of the table and cards, keeps track of scoring, provides a double down option, and can be set to require the dealer to hit on soft 17. Speed of play and screen refresh were both fast and not an issue.

Try this before going to a real blackjack table. Constantly lose? Save your money and only play for fun on your Kindle. Need the thrill of playing for real? Again, play on your Kindle but take what you lose (or win) in real cash and buy Mom or someone close to you a gift.
