Ok, let me make something clear. This is not a flagship phone, nor do they advertise it as such. What it does make is an affordable and capable backup phone, or for some of you, a phone for the kids.
I have to say that I was surprised at how good this phone really is. Even though it doesn't have loads of RAM, it still works fairly quick and snappy. The slimmed-down Android Go operating system helps with this.
The display is not too bad - considering it's a sub $200 phone. I've been able to surf the internet, watch YouTube videos, I did select the 720p for YouTube while viewing just to see if there would be any issue and there wasn't.
So who should buy this phone? Obviously it's a budget phone for those who mainly need a mobile but not all the bells and whistles that the higher price phones have. If you're not a heavy gamer, don't need a ton of "extras" and just need a phone that works, is connected and can take a decent photo than the A80 may work for you. Likewise if you need a backup occasionally or want a cheaper phone for a child (who may lose the phone) then this will work for you. I do have a more powerful phone on the way but until it arrives I will be using this one to get more familiar with it and update this review as needed.
In my opinion this phone looks and feels like a much more premium option than the price would suggest. It gets the job done, and doesn't break the bank. It's a solid buy.
