Sadly, just a month or so into using them, they've started cutting in and out in one ear or even disconnecting altogether, whenever the USB plug is wiggled. This problem is exacerbated because, like others have also said, the control box with the plugs hangs precisely at the level of an office chair's armrest, right at your elbow, in a prime spot to be jostled every time you move or, if it's in a bad mood, every time you so much as breathe.
The headphones themselves are extremely comfortable, easily the most comfortable I've ever owned. They're like wearing a trio of high-end spa pillows on your ears and head, just amazing! The microphone quality is crystal clear. The audio is pretty good, though not audiophile level. I'd compare them to maybe a $60 pair of headphones priced up for the extra features of a headset, not $100+ headphone levels of quality, but pretty good (I came to these from a three year old pair of $99 Skullcandy Crushers with broken subwoofers, and these don't even begin to compare to the Skullcandy set for pure audio quality, though those only have a cord-mounted microphone rather than a boom mic).
The bigger problem in terms of sound is that I sometimes get headaches because of the tilt of the drivers, which points right into the ear rather than straight toward the head like most. This sounds like a good feature when you read about it, but what it really means is that highs are ear-piercingly loud at all volume levels, while mids and lows suffer greatly by the time you turn them down enough not to hurt. I have to listen at noticeably lower volume levels than with any other headphones (in terms of perceived volume, not numbers on an app), to keep my ears from ringing and my head from aching after an hour or two of use.
+Fantastic build quality on the headphones themselves; very sturdy yet not too heavy.
+Sturdiest cables I've ever seen in a headphone.
+Great microphone quality.
+Outstanding comfort, A++ on long-term wearability. I use them 12+ hours a day and never get the slightest bit fatigued.
+Very cool detachable boom mic plug with a nice, secure, reliable connection.
Could Be Better:
=Better sound definition and distribution would be nice. Even with equalizers, it only gets so good before you realize you're running into flaws in the design.
=USB plug and audio plug just -barely- fit together side by side. (I use the audio plug for my phone, and the USB for my computer, and didn't want to unplug and plug in the USB plug too many times since other reviews said it was fragile).
=Angled drivers are a negative for me because of further imbalance and ear-splitting highs even at barely-audible conversation levels for TV/games. Others may like this feature, but I don't.
-The plastic control box feels cheap and fragile, far too light-weight and gimpy. Others have said the mic mute switch broke after just a few uses, and can totally see that happening; I used mine exactly once, to test it, and I don't intend to touch it ever again lest it break for me as well.
-Cheap bargain-bin USB mini female jack in the control box totally lets down what would otherwise be a great product. Seriously, this is absolute garbage, fragile-feeling, wiggles extensively in the housing, doesn't fit very tight, and barely lasted a month under VERY GENTLE AND CAREFUL USE. Even on the very first use, it didn't click into place so much as just sort of give a saggy-feeling 'flumph'.
I intend to contact Creative's customer support about a warranty claim, but note that the 2-star rating is not based on the fact that this specific pair failed, and is instead based on the product's features as I experienced them.
If they replaced the USB-mini female plut with a better one, secured more firmly in the case, it would go to 3-star.
If they replaced the entire control box with something of higher quality, and moved it either up closer to the headphones, or farther away, to eliminate the awkward positioning, it would go to 4-star.
5-star would take a redesign of the drivers to eliminate the odd angled axis and the resulting unfortunate sound balance issues.
Build Quality: These are exceptional especially given the price.
Comfort: surprisingly very comfortable. I don't think you can find a better comfort quality gaming headset that is wired and I am picky when it comes to this.
Sound: Outstanding. Their software is easy as well if you need to do some tweaking. I'm not a fan of surround sound sound anyways so I put it on stereo; but that is me. The is very clear and punchy and is one of the loudest I've ever heard from a gaming headset; even on its USB connection. You are given a choice in connection with the USB or 3.5jacks but you're not losing anything from the USB connection which is really amazing in my opinion.
Mic Quality: what can I say. I love its noise cancellation. I love the fact how it's redesigned and can be removable. The sound is top notch. If you need the sound boosted when you talk just change the levels in your os under recording devices.
Summary: I normally never give 5 stars because I always find something wrong with a product. In this case I haven't yet. This is really a good headset for your money;and like I said DO NOT over spend on a gaming headset. This is actually the one gaming headset where the sound is so exceptional I can listen to music and watch movies on them and don't need the volume on full blast they're so loud. I also prefer the wired like these over wireless. All that extra money really isn't worth it. Great cans for the price and I'm just shocked the price is that low for what you get out of these in terms of comfort, sound quality, mic quality and build quality. Again,DO NOT pay 300 for gaming headsets. Just totally not worth it what you get out of it. Gaming headsets are just that;specifically for games. Movies and music get a pair of good stereo headsets but these are amazing for all.
I have since purchased two wireless headphones on prime day just so I wouldn't have to deal with the headache of these headphones. I take very good care of my items I game about once a week so all my stuff gets very light usage. So maybe about 4 hours a week or every other week sometimes I don't play for weeks. With that being said no reason I should have been having the issues of the sound going in and out. The usb portion where it connects to the box is very delicate and shouldn't be moved with gaming.
Onto the customer service I made a claim the reps take long to respond and they offer solutions and ask questions like if you have no knowledge on troubleshooting. For example did you try a new USB cord? First off I shouldn't have to be going through my stuff to fix your stuff. They do whatever they can not to fix or send a replacement. Then they take so long before they recommend filing a RMA that they pushed me past my warranty. When I first filed I was within time. Now its passed the time and they haven't responded.

$24.99 is over and above the price of the headset $159.99. The detail erroneously say the basic price is 135.00 + 24.99 for a total of $159.99 which is false.
