Great arcade style inputs.

Super responsive stick and buttons. (something to get used to)
Works great in most setting positions and allows you to be as comfortable as you want to be.
If you setting up "indian style", with you legs straight out, or out over the edge of a chair it seems to
set well in the lap.

I have used this to play with several different titles (BlazBlue, SSF IV, King Of Fighters, SF IV Arcade, etc) which I have played with a Standard PS3 Six-Axis and with the fighting stick. After getting used to the fighting stick the experience it much better as it is built for hands and overall more ergonomic feeling. Much easier experience on the hands after several hours of vicious play (thumbs aren't sore, numb, etc).

The only thins I don't like:
PS3 version only works on PS3, even though it should be PC compatible as it uses the same PCB as the SF IV stick for PS3 which was supposed to be PC compatible but in the end doesn't work on most PC's.

Could have a better built box for travel and storage.

the stick didn't come with a manual or anything, it was just inside the blazblue:cs box with foam protectors. It's wired and it has a very long usb to allow distance from the ps3. The circle button didn't work, and since I bought it online I couldn't go to a store to ask for a replacement, and I'm not patient enough to send it to madcatz for repairs under warranty (didn't even check if it had it), so I ended up opening it and fixing the problem (it's perfect now but maybe i'll replace the joystick later with better sanwa parts, or diff colors). The stick itself is great, the buttons are sensitive and all the functions on it are great for fighter genres, but it might not be perfectly in good condition when you first receive it (like mine).

I ordered this on amazon and got it in the same week. The packaging and everything was great. Completely satisfied with that.

It's newer than the round 2 TE so it should have the latest PCB inside as in a better one than the original TE. plus it's cheaper than the other TE sticks so it is a ficken amazing deal. I think the art looks great and I'm planning on making my own plexi glass cover for it anyways. The button layout is supposedly different than the other TE sticks but I customize my controls anyways so that is not really a problem.

But i did have some issues with the stick.

First the bad:
I received my stick with the R2 button (bottom row 3rd button) not working. I've read in another review here that someone got a madcatz TE stick with one of the buttons unplugged...so i thought maybe the same issue was happening. I decided to go ahead and void the warranty and open it up. To my dismay everything was connected properly. However the button felt loose from the bottom. After messing around with it for some time, the button base clicked and i thought i broke it :(. I then pressed the button and it snapped back into place and it started working just fine. In trying to put the thing back together, i discovered the source of the problem. The bundle of wires is zip tied and sits right under the buttons. It happened to press up against the button in question which was what was causing the problem. I had to cut the zip tie to close it back up without affecting the buttons.

Now on to the actual stick:
It's great like everyone says. If you're like me and this is you're first arcade stick, it takes some time to get used. Not just the layout but rather the sensitivity of the buttons. The sanwa buttons are so sensitive that if you graze them, they'll register. This is great for when you're used to the stick but I find myself constantly hitting things i didn't mean to at the beginning. Also the timing becomes different since the buttons do register so easily. I found myself hitting the buttons too early using the same timing as a game pad. Once you get used to it though, it is awesome.

The square gate is fine for me. I'm shooting off fireballs at will after a few minutes with the stick. Also i like that it catches in the corner if i want it for dragon punch inputs since I tend to over rotate before and likely would still over rotate with a octagon gate.

Overall the stick is great just like everyone says.

One thing I can say about this product outright is that mad catz has made a very good product. If you are able to purchase a Tournament Edition Fightstick for under 120.00 it is a great deal. If you are paying over that I would wait. The product works great and all the buttons as well as the joystick are extremely responsive to touch and movement. I would have to say if you like playing fighting games it is extremely functional and fun. What also is really nice is being able to program layouts of buttons for each styled game. Really a solid product the price is a bit of a strain to pay but it is well worth the investment.

Great price for a tournament edition fightstick.

Some quick background; I only use this fightstick for Street Fighter 4 and do not use the two right-most buttons.
At the time of purchase this was the cheapest Tournament Edition around, so it is why I opted for this particular one over the others.

All the Madcatz Tournament Edition fightsticks come with a Sanwa joystick and Sanwa buttons. So if you can, avoid getting the Special Edition (SE) fightsticks, also by Madcatz. They have less than ideal brand/quality buttons, unless of course you prefer to break your warranty and change out the buttons or joystick yourself. Most would opt to put in Sanwa or Seimitsu parts, so spending a little more for the Tournament Edition will save you from worrying about this potential step. Speaking on the opening up of the fightstick.. it also very easy to change out the artwork on the Tournament Edition with your own, but again, any opening of your fightstick breaks your warranty.

My only gripe is strictly cosmetic. I wish the 360 version of this fightstick was black, instead of white, like the PS3 version.
