~The reader is presented with several strong characters…some good, others not so good. It was interesting to see how Hara and Gideon (and others) dealt with and interacted with the less than desirable characters they encountered.
~I enjoyed the romantic element of the story…it was developed slowly and carefully.
~This was a good Sci-Fi…yes, a good Steampunk story. I’m thinkin’ that anyone who seeks out ‘Steampunk’ must love the tinkerer, the engineer, the inventor…and this story had several. It also had airships, pirates, fantasy, and loyalty.
~The story carried me along, and I savored each page.
~A simple recommendation: Grab your copy, get comfy, and go along on the adventure.
I'd give it more stars if they were available. I highly recommend this book and personally cannot wait to read the next one.
The only problem was there was a serious need for editing. There were words that didn't belong where they were. There were also other grammatical errors throughout. And at one point, Hera leaves and two paragraphs later leaves again.
I'll likely read the story again at a later date, but the errors do knock you out of the story.
