Weird, and quite a bit predictable-didn't end as completely as I had hoped but it was a pretty good tale to read in an hour or less.
A bit frustrating with the main characters emotions and lack of decision making but I really loved the plot and the idea of the True gentleman saving the heroine who is honest but unfairly treated by those closest to her. I wish there had been more of an ending!
Straight up RIDICULOUS! Normally I don't care too much when regency stories are not totally realistic but this one went WAY too over the line! Some things are strictly regency based but others Absolutely not at all *spoiler alert for this short story* Her husband having a mistress-realistic. Divorcing the wife and not claiming her child? SO unrealistic! Men didn't care back then and he would have let her wither away since she wouldn't be allowed to get a divorce-especially without a male relative fighting for her rights. Another thing: Nobody referred to anything like a 'blind date' in this time period. It was not realistic at ALL because almost All marriages and courtships were basically blind dates. Arranged marriages ringing a bell??? I confess I skipped half of the story after this because I found it so ridiculous and silly. The author was just trying to hard and yet not enough. 0 stars for this one.
Love this one! Humorous and a really great creative plot and story! You will Definitely want to read this one! The characters are two of my all-time favorites!
This story is SO much deeper than most short stories, I LOVED it! Hinted enough so that you could fill in the spots that the author couldn't fit in in their word limit. I wish there was more to the ending though! What a GREAT group of characters and an intriguing story that you will find yourself becoming invested in-love!
OMGOSH this was Brilliantly done! One of my ALL-TIME favorite stories I have ever read-let alone short stories! The author had a seriously flawless plot that not only fit in a pretty legitimate start on getting to know someone enough to be seriously dating them but also didn't make the girl seem like a 'I need to be saved' damsel in distress. BRILLIANTLY done! I am Definitely going to be looking for this authors other books! This story makes it Well worth the read-if not for the third story I would probably have given this the full five stars!
Over-all: a GREAT read and SO worth the buy! Just wait til the last story-it is the Ultimate short story!
