If you're a beginning blogger, or are thinking about starting your own blog, the authors have some good solid advice on how to start with the major free blogging programs out there such as Wordpress and Blogger (but it is not a be all, end all guide for those two platforms), and gives you some advice on how to start monetizing your blog. One of the refreshing things I found was the authors do say you can be a full-time blogger and make money from it in order to support that goal, but they are realistic and tell you it takes time, a lot of effort, and a little bit of luck in order to start making it work - in other words, this isn't the usual mumbo jumbo we've all read that say you can be a millionaire in 30 days just from blogging: you need to work at it, and the authors are honest about it.
I picked this book up for free during a Kindle promotion and, as I write this review, it is priced at $4.95 in the Amazon Kindle store. If you are more than curious and want to learn some of the basics of a successful blog, or are looking for new ideas on your process of an existing blog, this would be $4.95 well spent.
My only wish is that all of the links and websites listed were listed at the end of the book for easier use.
I purchased this book after listening to a webinar by Michael Fleischner. I was looking for basic information to assist me in setting up a quality blog for my business. This book provided me with the information I was searching for, plus much more.
After reading this book, you will walk away with a greater understanding of blogging and how to use it to promote your business and generate revenue at the same time.
It is very well written, easy to understand and packed with great information you will not find anywhere else.
I believe Michael Fleischner and Justin Freid did a great job on this book......Way to go guys! I will be purchasing their SEO book next.
The author then goes into everything else needed, when to publish, what kind of content works the best, and how to make money with the blog. This is what I needed to get a professional start, and I can learn the rest from here. Very cool book.
the ways the professionals make money from their sites, then this book by Fleischner might be the one for you.
In here, the author outlines the various popular blogging platforms, giving you a quick idea of which might suit you the best. He goes into the other steps of writing a blog, and the ways you can make money at them. There is a lot of content for free on the web if you want to track it all down. But for a few dollars, you can get it here
for free, and get started with your blog.
I loved the way the author laid everything out from beginning to end, giving you the choices available at each step, and guiding to quickly started today.
I heartily recommend this book for content, style, and relevance.
Read it if you know nothing about blogging and wish to start, otherwise it's a waste of time.
