This gloves also has finger saves which was not mentioned in the description. Great Value, will recommend.
Now for the bad....SIZE! These run big!!! My 10 year old currently uses size 6 gloves (a cheap, entry level, no-protection, low end pair). I wanted to get her gloves with more protection and more surface area to stop the ball. So i purchased one pair of these and one of another brand, both in a size 6. Despite the fact that I loved these gloves better, we ended up keeping the other pair solely because of the size. The size 6 in this glove was definitely bigger on her than the other brand and actually these gloves fit my adult hand perfectly! I returned this pair of size 6 and eventually ordered a size 4 because i really liked the quality and design of this glove and wanted my kids to wear this brand instead. Well, the size 4 did not fit the 10 year old, but they didn't quite fit my 7 year old either. Actually, for my 7 year old the issue more was that these gloves were too stiff for her and she couldn't grab the ball.
So in the end, reluctantly, I returned both size 4 and size 6 Blok-IT gloves. Realizing that gloves with better protection and built-in finger protectors are too advanced for my 7 year old because she had limited mobility with her fingers, we ended up keeping her in the low-end, cheap, limited protection gloves (her sister's hand me down pair). For the 10 year old, we kept the other brand's size 6 even though i didn't think the quality was all that great.
Despite our lack of success with these Blok-IT gloves, I definitely would recommend them!!! I honestly wish we could have kept them! Maybe once they get a size 5 in we might buy those and maybe the fit could be better for the 10 year old, after all she is on the small side compared to her 10 year old peers.
As for sizing goes, I wish I would have ordered a size down according to the measurements guide. I previously had some size 9's in the Adidas practice gloves that fit great. I went with the recommended sizing guide (found online) and according to the measurements I took I ordered 10s. They fit fine in the palms but the fingers are a bit long. Although, I do have some very wide palms...
However, after a few games with these, I'm actually really happy with them. The finger protection becomes less rigid after a few uses, and they help keep the ball out on those "fingertip" saves.
