This happens to be one of my favorite christian fiction reads of the year. Not only do you get laughs, which is normal for a book written by Pastor Holmes, you get plenty of spiritual nuggets that make you ponder and think. One thing I got out of this story is how close you can come into temptation dating as a single christian and that while that's happening, it's imperative that you have a mature married couple around that will keep you accountable. Phenomenal job.

Kendra Norman has done it again. Her brilliant writing draws you in to the lives of the characters and makes you feel like you know them personally. They're so real. So funny. It's an entertaining book. I didn't want it to end, but I couldn't put it down. Such an inspiring story with the theme of forgiveness at its root. The story causes the reader to examine any issues in his or her own life where confusion, jealousy, bitterness, hurt may exist and seek to find the true cause. Or the story behind the story.

Isaac Turner, youngest son of Ralph and Blondeva Turner found out early in life that bad decisions linger long and lead to loss, feelings of failure, guilt and regret. After 25 years of estrangement he goes home determined to redeem himself but he finds forgiveness, love, an unexpected surprise and a second chance. Author, Kendra Norman writes with humor of southern family drama, love and history.

It took a long time to get to the heart, so much so, I almost stopped reading......but, based on past experience with this writer, I decided to keep on reading. And, I wasn't disappointed. I actually thought Bella was in love with Isaac and him with her, but the love Isaac shared with Darci was strong. Then, it took forever to find out why Isaac left Darci all those years ago. It took a long time to get the answers but I definitely wasn't disappointed when they were revealed.

Kendra has done it again her story talk about small-town noise and a man trying to redeem what he has done in the past . Kendra was able to show how God can restore what was lost and what may have been impossible to get back. It was funny ., I love that she always has a little mystery within the book it was awesome. I have missed this author's writing I am so glad that she is starting to write phenomenal books again.

Great Story, awful editing!!

This was a very good book. The story was slow paced but held my interest. I actually couldn't put it down. Only problem was the many words left out, the two times a character was called by the wrong name and when God was called Got. The tying errors were frustrating and interrupted the smooth flow and enjoyment of reading this book.

Thank you Kendra for blessing us with another book. Starting this book with Blondeva's baby boy Isaac is a good introduction into the Turner family (hoping it will be a series). Blondeva is hilarious, there were a few times I laughed out loud!
