Provocative, sobering, and prescient are some of the words that come to my mind after reading the book Blood on the Altar by Thomas Horn. Frankly, the message is no less provoking than the title, but that is what you expect when thirteen respected prophecy teachers combine their knowledge to explore the subject of the true Biblical “church” in these last days. With a forward by Stephen Quayle and eleven chapters by twelve different authors, I can tell you this is a book that will challenge you to carefully consider some of your long-held assumptions.

Three chapters that really stood out to me:

1. Thomas Horn’s chapter, Forgotten Aspect of Bible Prophecy, is a stark reminder of the evil “normal” people are capable of under certain circumstances.
2. Sharon Gilbert’s chapter on Something Wicked This Way Comes will make you think about pulling the plug on your computer and tossing your cell phone in the trash. Truly frightening!
3. Douglas Krieger and Douglas Woodward in their chapter on When Antichrist Reveals Himself in America make a compelling case for the marriage of Christianity and patriotism as a possible vehicle for the rise of the Antichrist. Did you know Adolf Hitler used Christianity as basis for his atrocities against the Jews? Did you know “normal” Christians thought they were doing god’s work in carrying out Hitler’s vision of the future? Don’t think this can happen again? Read this chapter and find out why you are wrong.

In summary, I can’t say I agree with everything written in this book but there is more than enough insights by these thirteen authors to make this book worth adding to your library on Bible prophecy. Get the book and then open your Bible and “see if these things be so”.

Maranatha!

It has been a while since I read a book in one sitting, but the subject matter in this book is too important to ignore, and there simply haven't been other works on the same subject. The contemporary Church is morphing, dividing, to the point that is becoming two different things. We are living in very troubled times, and individuals will have no choice but to choose one side or the other. Will one become a universalist, regarding value in any path to God, or will the Christian choose to stand up to the conservative, Biblical teaching that Christ is not at all, a way to God, but THE Way, the ONLY way? Like it or not, we will be forced to choose one way or the other, and better to consider the debate now while one can do so without threat.
I don't particularly agree with absolutely everything in this book (though I do agree with most of it), but the material is too important, too provocative, not to debate and consider with a focused mindset. At this point, there is no better work presenting this dichotomy, that the Christian Church will divide and become its own worst enemy.

This book is based in part upon John 16:2 - "They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service."

It is a warning for Bible-believing Christians to be aware of those mega-churches, metropolitan abominations and among others who operate as "Religious" (Scribes & Pharisees) churches. As Paul described in Galatians, those who "preach a different gospel" and for us to stay away. It illustrates how the New World Order has literally taken over these churches and have corrupted them to become the "spirit of Antichrist" who, having accepted the Mark of the Beast, will become part of Satan's army during the End of Days, slaughtering the real, born-again believers ... the Tribulation Saints. Very good read!

"Blood on the Altar" is a very good book with 11 chapters by as many different authors presenting their view on "the upcoming war between Christian vs. Christian. In many ways is is very discouraging to see how Christianity is tearing itself apart from within, yet this was prophesied as happening in the Bible. This book added very much to my understanding of the last days and how better to prepare for it.

The authors of this book are convinced there is a great apostasy and a falling away on these last days. The church is becoming more and more divided into the conservative (believe the bible) and the liberal (pick and choose). This divide will grow greater as the days grow closer to the Lord's return and we will see Christians fighting Christians as the liberal become more and more offended.

Very informative and insightful. I particularly liked the section showing the clear analogy and similarity of the coming Antichrist to Hitler. We forget that Hitler called himself a Christian and initially had great support from the Protestant Churches and the Vatican. We need to remember history or we are doomed to repeat it. The only criticism I have, is that the author thinks that America still has one more chance for greatness. I humbly disagree. I think that while we will have one more chance for an incredible Great Awakening, sadly it will entail great pain and judgment to get us there.

This seems to be a series of articles by numerous authors...all basically about "end-times" subjects.

There is actually really very little said about "the coming war between Christians"...and otherwise the topics range all over the map.

I'm not new to these ideas...and am a Christian...but sadly found this book didn't really deliver on the promise of its title.

Some of it is interesting...but I cannot recommend the book

Fantastic book! Everyone should read this....especially the "True Christians" and those who say they are Christians. This book describes what is going to happen in the end days between these two groups of people. Thanks Mr. Horn for a great book.

This book is powerful. Destin to become a catalyst to help wake up the true body of Christ. Informative and cutting edge, what the world does NOT want you to know! Entirely human and down to earth.

This book is another great work by Dr. Thomas Horn and other christian authors. A lot of good "scary" information for the person who is following the end of days events and prophecy
