Sophia is not your normal vampire. She is the half blood princess, that most people don't think really exists. She is on the run from her brother and ex, while trying to save "the ancestor" from one of her brothers. I loved most of the characters, Irad and Kara, mostly. But every story needs someone to hate. I can't wait to read the other books in this series. Magen is becoming one of my new favorite authors, that I will buy anything she writes. I'm hooked!!
As I started reading this book I was intrigued by the way we learned about each individual character and the detail we were given. I instantly fell in love with Sophia and enjoyed the pop in the love scenes. I got so into the story that I was very upset when it just ended. I do not think that it ended well and I was glad that I had the other books to continue the story. There was plenty of action and love intermixed to make a wonderfully intriguing story. I would recommend this book but only if you have the first 4 books with it because in my opinion it didn't really end it just paused. I am glad to see that it was edited however there are still errors that are occasionally distracting.
Aparently I must have gotten this book when it was free but I was reading from a reviewer copy from the author.

There was a lot about this book I really liked, Sophia for a start her abilities and history, plus obviously Dante and Tavian, Sarah and Enoch and the story for the most part I loved the idea what I didn't like was Sophia lying to Dante, Tavian and Sarah, no good can come from it, initially yes, but surely after awhile and with the way things were going I mean everything was going to come out in the end so all delaying does is open the door for further trouble. Also I had trouble picturing Sophia as twenty-five, I know she's drinking but she seemed younger to me but maybe it's just me who's getting old, they say everyone looks young when you're old.
