I am glad I stumbled across this release from Reason To Fight from in Rhode Island. These guys fall under "hardcore" but they aren't youth crew style. They don't throw in any metalcore riffs. They don't sound like Hatebreed. Blood & Glory by Reason To Fight bring a slight streetpunk feel to their hardcore cd here. The music has a punk rock feel to it, while keeping an aggressive hardcore style. The choruses are catchy and you'll find yourself singing along as if you were listening to some good streetpunk.
In short:
Performance - Hardcore/punk hybrid
Production - Pretty clear, not muffled, but the noise levels aren't consistent. Some songs are louder than others'
Song-writing/lyrical content - Song titles include "Riot", "Haymaker", "Can't Get Along With Anyone", and "Five Men Fighting". Definitely a working-class, blue collar, rebellious band with a little violence, drinking and trouble making in mind
'Booklet/artwork/lay-out: - Fold out with song lyrics, a thanks list and a coupl'a good pics
For fans of/sounds like - Fans of Dropkick Murphys, The Welch Boys, Stars & Stripes, The Bruisers, Bonecrusher, Whiskey Rebels, Loved And Hated, and The Pug Uglies ALTHOUGH I think the vocals at times sounds like the old hardcore band SSD.
