"I believe this book has broad appeal and will be enjoyed by both teens and adults....The romance between the two main characters is sweet, clean and engaging. I look forward to seeing what happens next for Trey and Aurora in the second of what seems to be a promising series of books." - Readers Favorite
"This modern-day, albeit paranormal, love story begins with a flourish, introducing readers to the tragically beautiful Aurora, while offering a glimpse into the secret world of vampires that she inhabits.... Showcases Jensen's solid writing and more than passing understanding of songwriting and the music industry. All the while, the reader braces for the repercussions of the main characters' forbidden romance... I recommend "Blood and Guitars" to YA, NA, and adult paranormal romance fans." - Tom Winship (Author of Vaempires series)
"What's not to love about a book with vampires and rock music? I really loved the witty comments and felt as though I could identify with Aurora. I mean, what's a vampire to do?" - Brazen Book Reviews
"This was an interesting twist on the whole vampire-falls-in-love-with-a-mortal idea since the girl is the vampire and the guy is the mortal. You don't see that much and it was interesting." - Clean Romance Reviews
"I like how Ms. Jensen creates her own type of vampire.... It is a good book, and I think if you like music, vampires, and painting, this book might be right up your alley." - Place of Reads
From the Author
Writing Blood And Guitars was a frustrating and fulfilling experience all in one. I actually began writing the story more than ten years ago and put it aside to work on other projects. It was always there in the back of my mind, waiting to be finished. I had no idea that vampires were going to become so popular in mainstream fiction and on screen but as I set to work finishing the book, I was happy to be part of something so much bigger than myself. The blend of vampires and music, two of my passions, happened very naturally with this story. I'm a huge fan of Trey and his band, Catalyst, as they are a representation of all of my favorite artists combined.
I hope you'll enjoy reading Trey and Aurora's story as much as I have enjoyed writing it. Don't forget, Blood And Guitars is just the first book in the series. The second installment, Immortals And Melodies, will be released summer of 2012.
