I won’t give away, but this book is definitely the read!
Esmeralda has longed to be the witch her beloved grandmother was...not knowing the battle she would face, she returns to Coon Hollow.
This story captivated me and kept me on the edge of my seat. From witnessing a murder to finding she possessed more than a witches power, Esme finds the strength within to choose a life she only dreamed about...
There's fights with Autumn Fae out to steal her power; & witches using Dark Magic against her...will she triumph in the end? (Oh what a great ending too!!)
This is a stand alone book but belongs to a series that I definitely would recommend.
Thanks to the author for the e-copy of the book. This same review will be posted on both Goodreads and Amazon.
My favorite genres are paranormal and fantasy. In these worlds anything is possible and characters are much more interesting. We meet people with abilities we would love to have and worlds we can only travel in books or movies. Coon Hollow is a place unlike any other with witches, each unique in their own way, a woods that is magical and a place I would love to visit. For the first time in Coon Hollow we meet Fae. I love the way Marsha's characters develop and come into their powers, things are never easy for them in Coon Hollow. Esme has a unique decision to make about her powers and the rest of her life.
This is my first book written by Marsha. It's counted as third in the series, but for sure it can be read as a standalone novel.
It took me some time to get into the story, rules in Coon Hollow, characters. After it, i really enjoyed the story.
The concept of wayward was something new to me - and I enjoyed it (added some drama in the story).
The courts of faes - also how their hierarchy looks like descriptions, made my fantasy working and imagining everything.
Esmeralda (Esme) was a women who try to find her place in the world and in the city, get to know her heritage from her mother and father. She is determined to do everything on her own, but during book she change herself and allow other people to help her.
Thayne - king - is a man who has a dilemma what should be first: his court or Esme. To see how he deal with it, you have to read it :)
This is a book for fae and witches fan, determined women lovers.
