Devlin possesses all the characters traits of a hot, strong yet compassionate and loving hero, that we all love to read about in a romance.
Devlin and Kiara's chemistry and sexual tension is palpable and sizzles off the pages. The mystery is intriguing, well paced with great secondary characters which made this book a definite page turner.
While trying to solve a mystery together, Devlin and Kiara's attraction grows as the author has done an excellent job of showing this through excellent dialogue and allowing the reader to feel the same emotions the characters are going through.
The premise and outcome are unpredictable and as a reader, I love to be challenged and not being able to figure out what will happen or how it will end. The element of suspense moves at an excellent pace, the character arcs well developed and the addition of a folklore premise all combined to make this story unique and sing for an awesome read.
This is a paranormal romance that I highly recommend, even if you don't normally read paranormal, as Moira Keith is able to spin an excellent story, drawing you in right away and keeping you rooted to the book with her strong writing, the ability to weave mystery, fantasy, suspense and love into a book jam-packed with emotion and sensuality.
Delicious book and I look forward to the next installment of the Blood and Moonlight Trilogy.
I really loved this book. It was amazing. It was intense and suspenseful. It was spicy and bold. It was everything you could love in a paranormal mystery. There was even a little bit of romance mixed in. I can’t wait to read the rest of this trilogy!
I didn’t really see many problems at all with this book. I mean there were some typos here and there, but we all fall victim to typos now and then. Authors aren’t immune to this terrible thing we call typo. I kind of wish this would be made into a series instead of a trilogy. I can see it going far. This is just my opinion though.
I fully recommend Blood And Moonlight. If you love paranormal books, you’ll love this book. It is a very unique mix of fairies and wolves. Vampires are mentioned, but there aren’t really any vampire characters. It’s a great read either way! Don’t take my word for it though! See for yourself what I mean!
For starters, there's the book's heroine, Lady Kiara Aislinn Morrigan O'Conaill, recent exile from the fae courts. Kiara manages to be both kick-ass and vulnerable, and I do so love it when those two go together. Kiara is also a direct descendant of the original Morrigan and she has the ancestral markings to prove it. And, yes, we're talking about that Morrigan, the ancient Irish shapeshifting goddess of war and battlefields who is often associated with ravens and wolves. Wolves! I'm telling you, it was at this point that I fell seriously in love with this series.
Kiara's counterpart, Devlin McClure, is all sorts of Irish, alpha-werewolf yumminess. Devlin's pack is in trouble. Its members have been disappearing and Devlin wants Kiara to assist in finding them. Among the missing is the pack's Cadeyrn, or leader, Roarke O'Conaill, who Devlin insists is Kiara's father.
Kiara is not convinced. As far as she knows, her father is dead. Even worse, Kiara suspects Devlin's pack has been hindering her investigation into her mother's murder and the disappearance of an old friend.
So although the attraction between them is immediate, Kiara is intent on fighting it for all she's worth. That's one thing the two of them have in common, their refusal to accept that they're Cinniúint--fated to be together. What does it matter if they are? If their enemy wins, they'll both be dead anyway.
Blood and Moonlight is an awesome read. Author Moira Keith has created an enthralling urban fantasy series, as modern in feel as its Tahoe/Las Vegas setting dictates, but firmly rooted in ancient myths and legends. I think I've died and gone to fantasy heaven and I can't wait for the next two books
The chemistry is sizzling and the mystery intriguing. I enjoyed the folklore in this story and am excited to read the next book.
