Blood Will Tell is a complex story that spans years from birth to death, and many places. It revolves around Amy, who is naive and sheltered, and unfortunately easily controlled by her father in the beginning. She slowly learns more and more truths through tragedy and heartbreak and becomes a stable and solid woman. Author C.S. Donnell builds a complex story with more twists than a spiral staircase. This story will keep you guessing and reading until the very last page.Blood Will Tell has its amazing love story, and a vindictive and vengeful father figure, who believes he has every right to manipulate people and circumstances for his own benefit. It also spans the period from a young girl coming home from college to middle age to old age. Wrongs were committed, but the way that people internalize those wrongs and behave doesn't have to be criminal. Author C.S. Donnell builds a story where you want to root for true love, for justice, and for the good guy to win. It is such a complex and twisted story that you will be crying and happy all in the space of two pages. Really, a great read for all readers.Reviewed by Michelle Randall for Readers' Favorite
This high-drama saga follows Amy throughout her life with all the events that her relationships bring. Difficult to pinpoint as one genre in particular, Blood Will Tell can be described as a New Adult drama that spirals into a thriller with some medical elements and horror thrown in to thrill readers who enjoy stories with a hint of romance and crime, as Amy shifts through many changes as she adjusts to each event.
A story told from many perspectives, Amy must overcome a powerful and destructive bond with her wealthy and heartless father to find love and independence, and learn what it means to break through the chains of family ties built of lies.
Blood Will Tell will prove an entertaining read for anyone who picks it up.

From the Author
I grew up in an adopted family and never knew much about my biologicalroots. After I found my birth mother and her family in the 90s, I beganresearch into their history and also into DNA itself. I am fascinated by stories of people who find out or are led into a path that revealshidden secrets. Blood Will Tell is about losing family and the perseverance and courage that it takes to try to bring themtogether again. It is also about DNA, unexpected matches and the lackthereof, that reveal secrets and show the lengths that someone will goto to find a needed match.
My second novel, Deeper Colors is about an orphan whothrough a twist of Fate finds her way back to a place she onlyremembered in her dreams. The trail leads to not only a place but tomemories that threaten someone who thought that they had gotten awaywith murder.
