Bloody Harvest: Organ Harvesting of Falun Gong Practitioners in China Paperback – October 1, 2009

4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars 33 ratings

Falun Gong is a modern day spiritual/exercise movement which began in China in 1991 drawing on and combining ancient Chinese traditions. The Chinese Communist Party, alarmed at the growth of the movement and fearing for its own ideological supremacy banned the movement in 1999. Falun Gong practitioners were arrested in the hundreds of thousands and asked to recant. If they did not, they were tortured. If they still did not recant, they disappeared. Allegations surfaced in 2006 that the disappeared were being killed for their organs which were sold for large sums mostly to foreign transplant tourists. It is generally accepted that China kills prisoners for organs. The debate is over whether the prisoners who are killed are only criminals sentenced to death or Falun Gong practitioners as well. The authors produced a report concluding that the allegations were true. Bloody Harvest sets out the investigations and conclusions of the authors.

The premier text for the biggest human rights abuse of our generation. Matas and Kilgour have dedicated their lives to researching the organ harvesting of Falun Gong in China. This book showcases their findings in a visceral way that rightly upsets anyone's stomach, yet its multitude of sources should classify it as a research paper or a textbook. They explain in convincing detail how organ harvesting allegations must be true and are a human rights violation now reaching three times the death count of the Syrian Civil War. A must-have for anyone with a passion for human rights.

A friend of mine asked me to buy this book and read it because my mom's a doctor and involved in disease prevention - this is an amazing book, it gives a really good insight into what is going on in China with the illegal organ harvesting. I think that its a must-read for any doctor and others interested in the truth about the organ harvesting business.

This book provides complete and systematic evidences showing that the Chinese Communist Party has being killing tens, maybe hundreds of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners in China so that their organs could be sold for transplant surgery. This evil simply must be stopped. I strongly recommend that everyone read this book.

This book has a great power to educate about and expose the "new form of evil on the planet" - grand scale forced organ harvesting in China. Please read it and try to help save lives of the innocent victims of this inhumane genocide against humanity.

It is astonishing! Anyone who reads this book and then denies that this is happening has an ulterior motive! The very least anyone can say is that this is probably happening. I call it a slam dunk. But don't believe me, read it yourself!

5.0 out of 5 stars A MUST READ.
Reviewed in Canada on February 5, 2013
This book is a must read for everyone. The authors Hon. David Kilgour and Mr. David Matas are both dedicated human rights activists, who have devoted their time and money for the cause of the downtrodden everywhere. This revealing news that the Western media and governments are missing for not publicly acknowledging is a crime of immense proportion by a big regime ruling a big country. The authors were denied visa to visit and verify the facts, but through proof and disproof and interviewing many a person who have been involved in this one way or another, the authors have documented the unspeakable massive crime and provided all the references for proof. A MUST READ for citizens of the world. If we do not come to know the truth of this ongoing atrocity on a genocidal level, the world cannot press to put an end to killing live prisoners of conscience for all their organs for profiting from it.
