I don't know why the author is so self deprecating, these stories are all really good and have surprise endings. The "alien" story even has a bit of a Douglas Adams vibe to it.

...and Dan Rinnert displays four different ways that could be true. This disarming offering, written with Rinnert's trademark humor, is time well spent, although possibly not over lunch (the title IS "Bloody Love", after all- grin).

"Bloody Love" by Dan C. Rinnert is a collection of 4 short stories, one of which is extremely short, but nevertheless a complete story. A couple of these are really pretty gruesome. They're almost enough to make you want to give up on love!

The stories in this collection are, in order of appearance: 1)Regretfully Melancholy; 2)Misleading and Bizarre; 3)Pathetic and Freaky; and 4)Short, but Disturbing. Oh, and bloody. They are all bloody, to some degree.

I liked this collection, and if you are into the bizarre, you will too. But don't give up on love... not yet, anyway.
