About the Author
K’Anne Meinel pronounced Kay Ann My Null, is an American author born and raised in Wisconsin. While she has lived in Central and Southern California, she has always returned 'home' to roost. K'Anne professes to write books that she would like to read and through her novels, novellas, and her short stories has grown into a writer who is willing to expand her horizons. She fearlessly steps out of her comfort zone in order to allow the reader to taste through her words, experiences of her life. Her first book SHIPS was written in 2003, but bits of it were re-written off and on for the next eight years before she self-published it and then was approached by a publisher. Short stories joined her 'bill of fare' in 2011 purely as a personal mind exercise. 2011 also saw the beginning of a series of books which all include 'Malice' in their titles. This deliciously gripping series leaves the reader suspended, starving, and craving more. Now with over seventy titles to her credit, K'Anne can truly claim to be an established author. K'Anne is the Mistress of sarcasm, double entendre, and has a wicked tongue-in-cheek humor that many find addictive. She has a way with words. Her descriptions become visions in your mind. Her words fuel your imagination. Befriend or ‘like’ her on Facebook, Twitter and keep up with her books, stories, and career. There is sure to be something you'll enjoy. Yes, the author spent a lot of time examining Avril/Ellen's life but, in the long run, all of it was critical to the story line. I didn't find it boring at all. Could it have been shortened? Yes - what novel couldn't suffer that same fate - but it would have reduced the abusive impacts Avril/Ellen experienced that molded and shaped her handling of both her business and personal lives.
Romance, though late in coming to this story, was, as usual by this author, not only romantic, but hot and steamy! I highly recommend this new release by this author. Try it, you'll like it!!!
