About this item
- Make sure this fits by entering your model number.
- WHAT IS BLOXYGEN? A powerful and proven formula to save your leftover paints, finishes or food from getting ruined by oxygen or moisture. Don’t let your expensive supplies go to waste, use Bloxygen to BLOCK OXYGEN. Simply spray, seal and store.
- HOW DOES IT WORK? Bloxygen uses Ultra-Pure Argon Gas. Argon is 25% heavier than oxygen. When sprayed into your container it pushes the oxygen or moisture up and out, sealing the contents with a heavy blanket of stable gas. The revolutionary NATURAL formula can lengthen the lifespan of some paints or finishes to 10 years or more!
- WHY USE BLOXYGEN? Anyone who does handy work or painting has experienced the frustration of hardened paint, finishes that have become rubbery or separated, or oil-based coatings that can never be used again. Bloxygen will save you $$$$ by significantly increasing the shelf life of your products and reducing hazardous waste!
- WHEN TO USE BLOXYGEN? For long-term storage protection, you can spray the finish preserver into cans of opened Polyurethane glue, Waterlox, Tru-Oil gunstock finish, auto body chemicals and coatings, and photo chemicals. You can even use the food preserver spray for wine, liquor, hops, seeds, olive oil, makeup, and food.

What's in the box
Product Description
Bloxygen – Blocks Oxygen. Prevent waste and store your leftovers safely.
In the USA alone, the EPA showed that about 65 to 69 million gallons of paint are thrown away each year, and about 15 percent of that is oil-based. That's a line of quart cans from Los Angeles to New York tossed out each year.
Apart from the environmental harm caused, you are wasting money every time you buy a new can of paint or finish because the old contents crusted over. Thickening, gelling, or skinning, clogged spray guns and ruined oil-based finishes are not only wasteful but messy and time-consuming as well.
The Solution is Easy – Bloxygen The Only Way to Seal and Store Leftover Solvents, Finishes, Varnishes and More.
Complete Protection:
o Protects ANY products that are sensitive to oxygen or moisture damage.
o Prevents changes in product chemistry during storage.
o Allows you to store leftovers safely in the original labeled container.
o Reduces hazardous waste and product loss.
Use On:
Oil Based Paint, Stain, Oil-based Inks, Oil-based Stains, Varnish, Urethane, Polished Metals, Polyurethane, Printing Chemicals, Gunpowder, Catalysts, Auto Body Chemicals and Coatings, Photo Chemicals, Fuel Additives, Marine Coatings, Polyurethane Glue, Tung Oil, Epoxy, Furniture Refinishing Chemicals, Chemical Compounds, Wine, Liquor, Hops, Seeds, Olive Oil, Makeup, Cooking Oils, and food.

I will never know if this product is of any value...I went to spray it in a new can of expensive varnish and it blew the "straw" right into the varnish.
Thinking I must not have seated it fully into the spray head, I carefully inserted the second straw (CLUE) provided with the product. Although there wasn't much pressure released, it was still enough to dislodge the straw. The straw(s) are too small in diameter to remain in the spray head under flow.
In addition, I am suspicious regarding the claims that this product will effectively sustain products for up to 75 applications. So I weighed the item prior to use and recorded the results. I will expend the contents and weigh the can. This will reveal the tare weight and thus determine if the the 12 grams of Argon as advertised ever existed in the can.
I'm skeptical since this is a perfect delivery method for a scam. Bloxigen is selling you something that you (or at least most of you) will not be able to tell if you received it or not. The number of seller replies suggesting you may have gotten and empty can is cause for skepticism.
If this is legit, a much better delivery method is sorely needed.
UPDATE: I contacted IronWood Designs and received an immediate reply from the owner no less. He expressed concern with my review and asserted that he has for twenty years produced a quality product. He offered to replace the malfunctioned can plus a spare actuator and "straws". I received them in short order and they perform as expected. This is clearly one of those QC exceptions that can happen to any legitimate business. And I am a champion of small businesses...they always have to try harder.
After talking with the owner, my suspicions regarding the performance of the product are likely unfounded...I expect time will bear this out. It is my intent to provide accurate, useful, insightful, reviews good or bad. I wish now I had reserved judgement and contacted the seller first. He made it right, and this is my effort to also make it right.
Keep in mind that, when you receive a can of Bloxygen, it feels like the can is empty. The molecular weight of argon is about 40 while that of air is about 29 so argon will tend to settle below air in an undisturbed container and will not react with the paint or sealant you want to preserve.
