The UK edition has the 3D version are we getting it?

Thomas Parry says:
Considering the listing says "Blu Ray 3D" I'd say yes.

well it didn't when I started the discussion. It seems like Amazon likes to put up items before having all the listing info

Will this definitely include a 2D Blu-Ray option for those of us don't have (or want) a 3D display but want to see it in High Def?

The listing says it has the Blu-ray 3D, regular Blu-ray (which I'm guessing are on the same disk since it only says the set has 2 disks) and a DVD copy.

I was a bit concerned because the only sets I have with both Blu-Ray and Blu-Ray 3D have them as separate discs, and I don't have a 3D display and the 3D discs don't play at all for me, so I was worried that if there was only one Blu-Ray disc and it was 3D I wouldn't be able to play it at all, and thus couldn't see the feature in High Def.

Saw 3D, The last 2 Resident Evil movies I have both versions are on 1 disk so don't worry. When I played them before I had a 3d tv it just didn't give me the option to watch the 3D version.

That's good to hear. Also, the picture on American Amazon has changed to say "Blu-Ray 3D + Blu-Ray + DVD", so it might even be three discs despite what the product info currently says.

When it says Blu-Ray 3D does that mean you need a 3D TV or does it work in Anaglyph 3D like the trailer showed.

The 3D needs a 3D capable tv and bluray player

a reviewer says:
Have disc and can confirm both versions are on same disc - but 3D only shows up as option if you have a 3D player and TV. Otherwise only 2D. Full HD.

Did anyone else have playback problems with this? My three year old Sony (which has never given me any trouble) at first didn't recognize the disc, then after ejecting and reloading, it played with horribly distorted video. I turned my tv off and back on, and the whole disc played fine. I have hundreds of other blu's, including some 2D/3D combo discs, and have never had this problem before.

Had no problems on my lg player, only tried the 3D version though.

livresque says:
Does the DVD disc have the same content, movie-wise (not technical 3D Blu-ray specs, but hours and minutes of film)?

In reply to an earlier post on Jan 3, 2014, 7:28:28 PM PST
The DVD has the same content and same minutes, but no 3D option.
