About Us

Universal Pictures is an American film studio, owned by Comcast through its wholly owned subsidiary NBCUniversal, and is one of Hollywood's "Big Six" film studios. La novela ‘The Girl on the Train’ de la escritora Paula Hawkins, debutó No. 1 en la lista de los mejores vendidos del New York Times en el 2015 y se mantuvo ahí por 15 semanas.
Hasta cierto punto, la novela está basada en la historia real de Venessa Jane Russell, originaria de Ohio, a quien su esposo la reportó desparecida en junio 14 del 2000. Su amante fue encontrado culpable de asesinarla.
Erin Cressida Wilson fue la guionista encargada en adaptar la historia a la pantalla grande; y el encargado de dirigir la película fue el laureado director Tate Taylor (The Help, Ma).
La película es una serie de capítulos en los cuales nos van presentando a los protagonistas, su pasado, motivaciones y la complejidad de cada uno de ellos; La Chica del Tren es Emily Blunt en una excelente actuación (estaba embarazada durante la grabación), Rebecca Ferguson, Haley Bennett, Luke Evans, Justin Theroux y Edgar Ramírez completan el elenco principal, a cada uno de ellos su personaje le queda como anillo al dedo, ademas como actriz secundaría esta la amiga del director y ganadora del oscar Allison Janney.
Es un thriller de suspenso, presentado desde el punto de vista femenino, en el que lentamente se va esclareciendo el asesinato.

El Blu-ray de Universal tiene audio y subtítulo en inglés y español.
