Tom McAllister is the creator and primary author of Blue Collar Faith. He is the president of Brightlight Services, LLC and was the founder and former Chief Executive Officer of CMAC, Inc, a supply chain consulting firm in Atlanta, GA. He is also an owner and partner of J&G Bar-B-Que in Burlington, NC. A former Navy supply officer, Tom has an undergraduate degree in Nuclear Engineering from Georgia Tech and a masters degree in Logistics Management from Florida Tech. He serves as a Stephen Minister at First Baptist church in Gainesville, GA.

What a book! Rarely in the myriad Christian writings does something come along that just seems right....that just exactly fits...that you can relate to.

This book is a compilation of real life, personal stories. Many were written by Tom McAllister himself. Each story has that definite ring of truth. The stories, obviously written by real people, describe journeys of Christian faith...stories that are so expressive, it easy to visualize each writer in your mind....to feel their thoughts being conveyed to you on an elevated, spiritual plane.

Blue Collar Faith is one of those rare jewels. I encourage you not to miss the deep, distinctly Christian messages being conveyed.

great book!

This is a great book! It is a delightful collection of witty poems, touching personal testimonies, and insightful essays that will appeal to most anyone. I personally enjoyed the story by Emmet Holley in his battle with cancer and how Christ has comforted him during this ordeal. My husband enjoyed the last chapter by General Van Antwerp where he warned the greatest threat to America is spiritual decay.
As a teacher for over 30 years, I daily bear witness to the beakdown of family values, morals, and work ethic.
This book demonstrates to the reader that the only hope for our nation is not just to say that we are a nation under God, but to live it!

The author of most of the chapters makes no attempt to hide his right-wing political views. This is most evident in the chapter called 'Climate Change'. Here he claims that climate scientists as a group have manipulated their data. Not only that, but he claims that the earth is actually cooling, apparently based on the data he claims have been manipulated, since he provides no evidence that he has collected his own. All of this is presented as fact, not opinion. While much of what he says is Christ-oriented, the tone of the book is generally not what I would expect from a Christian author.

Truly a mixture of voices throughout the book with the author's voice connecting the threads. The dispersion of various stories add a beautiful flavor to the message of the book.

As a preparedness expert, I would recommend this book without hesitation for anyone looking to discover the 'greatest threat' of decay in our country. The honesty seasoned with humor makes this book easy to digest in the mind and spirit. Not only should folks be physically prepared, they need to be spiritually prepared as well and this book delivers this message clearly.
