Because I think it is important to know what is in Almond Milk, the nutritional info is included below. I do want to add that I believe that small changes can make a huge difference in speeding up weight loss. Walk the extra 1/2 mile and substitute lower fat and calorie foods and beverages, don't feel starved, and you can still lose weight effectively - compared to crash diets, lowered metabolism and the likelihood that a return to a sane diet will pack on the pounds (due to that lower metabolism). So how much better is almond milk than regular? If you do the math, you'll see that almond Milk has 1/2 to 1/4 the calories of milk (for an 8 ounce serving). Like chocolate? Get their chocolate flavored version and save even more.

I'm also on a medication that makes it harder to lose weight but I still was successful as long as I tweaked my diet and kept exercising.

I often crave both chocolate and peanut butter, having the vanilla and chocolate versions of this milk really helped with those cravings. There is another nifty product, found here on Amazon, which also goes a long way when it comes to cutting fat and calories. Since I sometimes use it with almond milk, I'm giving it a mention: PB2 Powdered Peanut Butter - 85% Less Fat and Calories - 6.5 Oz, which also comes in chocolate. Add it to almond milk and you either have a peanut butter flavored milk or a chocolate peanut butter milk. If you buy the unsweetened version of almond milk ( a mere 40 CALORIES a glass), you can add your diet sweetener of choice but I really don't mind the lack of sweetener.

Unlike milk, I don't have lactose intolerance, pain, and bloating with this. That is a HUGE plus right there!Read more ›

This taste really good in cereal or mixed with carnation instant breakfast drink. If you mix 1 cup with the sugar-free carnation drink mix, you get a good & filling breakfast or snack for 1 weight watchers point.
Sprouts has a better price on it though.

The previous reviewer should not have given the product a low rating because of Amazon's price. Amazon's ratings go in a different section. That's not fair to the product and to the people looking for feedback on the actual product.

I like the texture and look of 2 percent milk over cereal, but unfortunately for me, my taste buds changed over the years and I no longer like the flavor of milk. Lactic acid now tastes really sour to me, but even lactose-free milk has something lurking in it that my taste buds object to. Almond milk solves my dilemma nicely. The texture is closer to 2 percent milk than any other milk substitute I've come across, and the flavor is mild and slightly nutty. The color is only slightly off, being a pale off-white instead of the stark white of milk. I love being able to eat cold cereal again like I did as a child. The only milk substitute that tastes better for this purpose is oat milk, which makes cereal taste like cereal only more so, but oat milk has a slightly gray cast to it that is kind of off-putting. Almond milk is awesome! It's pretty good in coffee too.

Try Vitacost.com for this almond milk along with many other flavors. I used to buy this from Amazon but something changed and they were no longer able to carry this at a reasonable price. Vitacost.com is about half the price for this and they offer free shipping if your order is $49.00. I usually buy 21 cartons and that gets me to over 49.00 then I get free shipping. They offer great customer service and ship pretty quickly. Give them a try!

Almond Breeze is far and away my favorite non-dairy milk. I buy the Unsweetened Chocolate and Vanilla and the Sweetened Chocolate. I like this, the unsweetened chocolate, because I like to mix it with the sweetened, for a less decadent treat. Also, I like to bake with this too. It adds just a little bit more flavor to cookies, brownies, and even whole grain bread! (Think of adding unsweetened cocoa powder to chili or tomato sauce--it deeps the color and flavor). This stuff if just awesome! And only 45 calories a cup! Unbelievable!

While I usally buy the refrigerated carton (better deal price-wise), this shelf-stable carton tastes the same. I'm a milk-lover since childhood, but my lactose-intolerance comes and goes and I've had to find a cow's-milk alternative. Finally, FINALLY I've found it! Almond Breeze original does NOT have that almondy aftertaste that other brands have, nor is it gritty with tiny almond bits. Its consistency is ultra-smooth and the tiniest bit creamy; all for 60 calories (for comparison's sake, skim milk is 80 calories per cup)! They make an unsweetend vanilla with 40 calories, but its harder to find. I've used Almond Breeze successfully in breakfast cereals, baking recipes and shakes [in the blender], all with excellent results! In the past I've used rice milk, soy milk and Lactaid milk, but this is by far the best (I loved Edensoy Extra's vanilla and Rice Dream's rice milk, but as a nursing mom, too much soy/estrogen for a male baby isn't good and while I trust Rice Dream, there have been reports of other campanies' finding trace amounts of arsenic in their own rice milk [in all honesty- Rice Dream had more calories than Almond Breeze and was waterier, though I would definitely use if out of Almond Breeze]).

All-in-all Almond Breeze is my go-to drink whenever I'm tired of plain water; its an expensive habit to drink..but coupons are available from the Blue Diamond- the manufacturer (I happened to email them with my great experience and they mailed me coupons!).
