Blue Hill Road is a dark, demented, and twisted psychological thriller, that will have you questioning your own sanity. At least it did me, because this was not an easy book to read. It was gruesome at times, and crossed the line from “reality to fiction” causing my mind to question what was real and what wasn’t. Just as I thought I knew what was going on, the book would take a left turn and we would be on a new, bumpy road.

❝You had a nice life.❞ he whispers, kissing her once more. ❝Thank you for your gift.❞

The writing was evocative, captivating and sucked me in. It was no-holds-bar. Don’t go into Blue Hill Road expecting hearts, flowers and unicorns, because you will be sorely disappointed. But for me, that is what I LOVED about it. It was different, it was unique. It was brutal at times, but unbelievably, beneath the harshness lays a love story, all-be-it a sick one.

❝I won't ever forget you, Hellen. I'll always do whatever it takes to remember you. And if I ever find your doppelgänger, then I'm making her my best friend.❞

This is not a romance, it is a thriller with a whole lot of steam and dare I say, heart? My heart broke for our main character. That prologue gutted me. And as I continued to read I felt so much emotion for him. I hated him, cared about him, loved him, I felt the gamut of emotions. A true sign of spectacular writing.

I can’t tell you what the book is about without spoiling it, going in blind is absolutely the best way to experience this book. The blurb is enough.

There were quite a few characters in this book, but the one I loved the most (besides the main character) was grandma! She was amazing. What a brilliant character. There were a few others that I wanted to slap – LEESA, WTF?!?

This story is about Henry who is a writer and his character Eli who is a killer, in his murder mystery series. Henry witnessed his father kill his family. Henry is able to reach into the darkest parts of his mind and recreate murderers and killers into any fashion he chooses in his books. Books provide the escape he needs to eradicate the bad memories that continue to surface. It's his coping mechanism for keeps him sane. It's a story within a story. Hank visits Blue Hill to gain inspiration on his current book.

"For you to heal, you’re going to need to be honest and come forth with how you’re feeling." Henry took this advice to the next level. Writing is therapeutic therefore Henry can write about victims and selfish killers in his books making him feel better. It's no surprise Henry took to writing murder mysteries considering his life involved a murdering father.
It's quite interesting the process Henry achieves at earning inspiration. While looking at people and talking to people his mind is reeling with information to fill the pages of his book. He is lost in his own mind thinking about Eli the character in his book.
Henry suffered a traumatic experience in life at the hands of his father, but he was able to turn that dark energy into something good. Henry's bad thoughts of hurting people helped create villainous characters in his books.
Henry is a writer because of the dark thoughts in his mind. His mind is ladled with fear. Henry transports his anger, fear, and darkness into his characters.

It's the greatest game of mindf*ckery. These characters are twistedly demented. A psychological thriller with characters that raise up all kinds of red flags of dysfunctional. Definitely the most questionable story I've ever read.

Amazing! I can't believe this is a debut book. This author has found her calling. She can't go any way but up. There is a true gift in this author and I won't be shocked when I see her on NY Times and USA Today. My only complaint is that she hasn't written anything else. The day I see her come out with another book I'll be buying it. This is an author who is now on my 'one click' list. This book had everything: plot, character development, great pacing, and twists and turns I never saw coming. Great job...bring on the next book because I'm ready to see what other genius you come up with. Bravo girl...Bravo!

I am absolutely certain that K Webster can get me to read any genre she chooses to write and make me love it! This is her debut novel writing as Elizabeth Gray and it is was completely phenomenal!!!! Just so y’all know, this comes from someone who closes her eyes during every scary scene in a movie and hates horror films!!! The problem with doing that while reading is quite obvious… but don’t think I didn’t try this during at least a couple of the scenes in this book lol….

This book takes you on the journey of a serial killer and his creator, I suggest you buckle up as it is one hell of a bumpy ride! It will have you guessing and re-guessing from the prologue right to the very last page! Every d**n time I thought I had it figured out something else would happen that would blow my mind. These characters were totally off the hook crazy!

This was a cross between Criminal Minds and Family Ties and I just kept wishing that Derek Morgan and Spencer Reid would swoop in and solve the case!!!

Job well done Ms. Gray! I can’t wait to read more of the crazy fu**ery you come up with!!!
