The Blue Hour is more than just a historical novel; it is powerful tale of a pioneer woman who found super-human strength within when most of us in the 21st century would have given up. After I finished the book, I immediately gave it away, and have yet to see it again.
I look forward to re-reading this inspiring story and diving into more of the historical details that I may have brushed over during the first reading. The herbal remedies used by the pioneer families were very intriguing to me. I wonder if there might be a sequel to this book and perhaps a guide to herbal medicines used during this time-period.
Make sure to clear your schedule for a few hours before you begin reading The Blue Hour, and consider ordering two copies; one to keep and one to give away.
