p.s. It is hardly fair to expect this quality of cinnamon to sink to the level of the stuff in the supermarkets. That would be like expecting Moonstruck or Godiva chocolates to taste like a Hershey bar. And by the way, if you have ever tired eating very good quality chocolate, then tasted a Hershey bar, you will know what I am talking about. All of a sudden the Hershey bar or Hershey kiss tastes sharp and not so good.
So, I gotta give it four stars because the zip lock closure of the package is flimsy and is hard to close once it gets gunked up with cinnamon.
I'm also not a huuuge fan the flavor, but I can't give it fewer stars just because of that; that's not related to the quality of the product.
But yeah, I'm kinda sad it doesn't have the same "punchy-ness" of aroma and flavor as regular, store-bought (cassia) cinnamon. I have to use more of this cinnamon in order to even taste it. It also has a soft, somewhat sweet flavor. The smell of it reminds me of the smell of a Michael's craft store....Kinda like cinnamon, but sweeter and different... You know what I mean?
Unfortunately, I think I prefer cassia cinnamon to this stuff. But it's not bad and I'm sure I'll find use for it, though...so no regrets here.
It would be nice to get a refund.
Another brand of Ceylon previously which has no dirt taste at all, has a pleasant different cinnamon aroma/taste with food and was enjoyable to eat straight out of the bag.
With all said and done I have to ask is, does Ceylon strongly vary flavor with batch to batch, tree to tree, farm to farm? If so regarding specifics, I am playing cinnamon roulette when trying different brands, or even the same brand.

This is an excellent form of cinnamon. Since I take cinnamon daily, I need this hard to obtain version. Blue Lily Sent the product very quickly and I've been very pleased.Published 2 months ago by Jane Austen Wannabe
Worse cinnamon I have ever had, no flavor, scant aroma, and the texture was gritty, with a terrible mouthfeel. Read morePublished 4 months ago by Erri
