I did have a bit of a hiccup when my computer running windows 7 would not recognize the MIC. So I went into the control panel - Device manager - Sound,Video and game controllers - Yeti Stereo Microphone ( which had a Question mark next to it) then right clicked on over that selected update driver Software and the problem was fixed.
I highly recommend this Mic combo ( you will kick yourself in the face if you do not get the pop filter ) Not sure why some people complained about the bg noise the mic picks up, to those peeps I would say do some research, lower the gain setting, look at your setup, make the Yeti feel at home and it will do the job.
Not only does this simple-to-use USB mic make everything I record sound lush - vocals, guitars, handclaps, fingersnaps, tamborines, harmonicas - but it also comes from a company that really stands behind it. I accidentally slammed the USB cable crosswise right where it's anchored in the mic's USB port with definitely anough jolt to have damaged the port itself. I felt obliged to explain to Blue when I called to setup the service shipment that it was totally "my bad". I also repeated "mia culpa" description on the sheet you fill out. After shipping it off I wondered if I should have just bought a new mic because I could easily have understood if the service would cost almost as much as the mic. But I was thrilled when upon receipt (only about a week later) of the fixed product that my invoice was for $0. How often have you gotten that kind of service?
The mic (in stereo mode, which is pretty much all I use it in) is surprisingly stereo-sensitive to your position in front of it, so keep that in mind. That's not necessarily a bad thing and I'm finding that if I raise the gain (on the mic) a bit and stand a bit further away that it becomes a bit less of an issue.
In closing, let me make it clear that I'm not speaking as someone who understands all the technical stuff (ohms, etc.) but I definitely know what sounds good. The Yeti mic sounds GREAT.

I've usually used a webcam mic before, or integrated mic.Read more
I love the fact that it came with a pop filter and headphones (which, btw, are EXCELLENT quality.)
