This was truly an enjoyable, can't put it down until it's completely done kind of book. If you like mystery, she has that, if you likeromance, she's included that. If you like a strong storyline that is the coreof her writing.....I totally recommend you to read and enjoy the journey too!!! After reading this I know I need some Cieran Lanigan and Bliss in my life!!! Sparky's Last
I am a fairly "tough" nut to crack emotionally, not much affects me outside of an ugly cry, even then I shed very few tears.... thesmallest sentiments written into these books (Blue Midnight and Blue Moon) made me cry with full on sniffles and a need for tissue... I don't understand it... I cried when I thought Shakespeare (Kevan's dog) may have the chance at companionship as well. Maybe I am more like Bliss (and Blythe in the first book) than I thought... at this point I could even be Moonstone.
Before I go, and let you discover the truly amazingtalent of Tess Thompson on your own, I suppose I will share my favorite quote..... kidding, even that would give away too much. Book Banshee
Bliss and Ciaran's story is sweet and sexy and the mysteryonly spices up that story. Thompson also does one of those writer things thatalways makes me happy, she brings back the characters from the previous book(s)and evolves their personal stories as the current plot unfolds. I'm getting indeeper to the Blue Mountain series and feel all kinds of OK with that :) Rolo Polo Book blog
From the Author
When I wrote Blue Midnight, I fell in love with Blythe's no-nonsense sister Bliss. I knew I would have to write her story next. She's so smart and driven, yet there's a lack of real love in her life. I figured a trip to Idaho and an encounter with Kevan's playboy brother would fix that. What I didn't expect was for my charming playboy, Ciaran, to have a secret that kept him from living the life he so desperately wanted. His troubles gave him a depth worthy of my Bliss Heywood. They were a match made in heaven. The fact that two sisters marry two brothers? Well, it happened on the old frontier, why not in Idaho?
I loved writing this book. It's sexier than my other books, but the characters dictated that. Bliss and Ciaran are physical people in touch with their sexuality. Their chemistry exploded on the page. As a writer, I'm obliged to listen to the characters I so carefully formed. They always tell me what to write next. It's their story, after all.
I loved the minor characters in this one too. Sam and Sweetheart, quirky Moonstone and uptight Henry made me chuckle as I wrote their scenes. The image of a modern version of the characters from the Wizard of Oz was such a powerful image for me-- all seeking the quality they already possessed. It took a magical place called Peregrine, Idaho to find the truth of their souls.
