Now I know that people are gonna look past this and probably think its a bot but no this is a real review, I used this mic for multiple different videos and it records really good audio for the price, mine is in all black which looks good and I do recommend picking up a mic arm if you are going to use it, the tripod is not too bad but it might get in the way especially if you are a competitive gamer, but overall its a really good mic that does what it needs to do without breaking the bank and have no intention of replacing

There's a red LED on the top of the mic to indicate the mic is powered on.

But the LED is really bright and cannot be turned off!

I found the LED annoying and distracting, And since the mic is designed to place directly in front of user for the best sound quality, I always had a red light shine straight into my eyes :(

This was recommended by a former Amazon recruiter that I follow on YouTube. She provided a list of products that she uses now that she is working out of her home. This was one of them. I have a fabulous MacBook Pro, but I use a monitor, and keep my laptop closed. When on Zoom calls, the sound quality is great, but I did not know that I have to open my laptop for anyone to hear me. That is when I finally made this purchase. It is well worth it, if you are working at home. I have recorded myself and the sound quality is good. I'm not a podcaster, influencer, just a normal WFH person who just wants my set up to look and sound as professional as possible. Mission accomplished with a small outlay that is totally worth it.

I like the mic sound quality and the look is sleek. However, it picks up someone else's voice chat in another room, with both doors closed. I am using discord when this happens. Overall I like this but wish it did a better job at not picking up voices from speakers that are so far away and/or not not facing the mic.

This mic can become decent quality in the right position with the right audio profiling but out of the box it is worse than most headset mics because they have the advantage of proximity. I think this mic is becoming irrelevant quickly but I cannot really say that I recommend it.

I bought this product because my PC did not have a built in microphone. This one does really well to pick up my voice but not my keyboard sounds or my mouse clicks when I am playing games. It does look a little funny and the wire in the back gets in the way a little bit, but overall it’s a good microphone for it’s price.

I work in TV production as a profession. I've bought this for personal usage but have used the Blue Yeti mics a lot at work when directors are recording guide com for their films.

The Yeti has a reputation as the go-to USB mic for non-broadcast or budget broadcast com records and the reason for that is it's a high quality mic.

As I bought this Snowball for personal use, couldn't quite warrant the over doubled price tag of the Yeti but I have to say, in terms of quality, there's very little difference in it. This is a superb microphone for spoken word and unless you specialise in sound, I'd be surprised if you could really tell the difference between the two.

I also got it in Black and it looks fantastic. The one thing I would say is it is a lot larger than I had expected when ordering (A little smaller than a hand wrapped around a fist) but you soon get used to it, and as it looks so good anyway, this isn't such a problem.

The tripod it comes with is great and doesn't seem to pick up much vibrations from the table.

I personally have only used this for spoken word but have seen videos of people using it for music and it seems to stand up well.

If you're after a microphone for YouTube channels, voice overs or anything spoken word, but can't warrant the >£100 price tag, this is the one to go for!

I order on Wednesday and I received the package on Friday (1 day early) so great delivery service again.

So to the mic. It's the Ice version so doesn't have the selectable polar patterns, and only has the cardioid pattern which is fine for my needs. Just remember to double check which version your are ordering as it's easy to make the mistake.

The mic sounds with a really nice crisp tone and is great for my purpose of streaming on twitch and making youtubbe videos. It's very easy to connect to your pc or mac and it's really easy to fit on a mic stand like I have in my pic. Doesn't pic up much background noise either, you may see YouTube vids where people say you need to be close to the mic it's self to get a good level, in my set up I'm about 1 and half feet away and it picks up my voice with ease and I can be sat very comfitabley in my chair and game and not worry about it.

I streamed for about 90 mins last night and played back the stream and I'm very impressed with the audio quality it just makes the stream sound more professional.

My wife (who is a sound engineer) was sceptical at me using a USB mic as she says I should use an interface and an XLR mic. But I did a quick sound test as soon as I got home and called her in to listen. And she was pleasantly surprised and thought the quality of the audio is very good.

So if you are looking for a good USB mic, for streaming YouTube or just to improve your Skype audio, then go and order this mic, it's great and most defiantly worth it.

Well this was super disappointing. I bought this as it came highly recommended for someone who is just starting to record videos and didn't want to invest too heavily. I even bought the extra pieces such as a mic stand and pop filter. Set everything up and it looked good!

I started to test immediately, and well the volume it picks up is ridiculously quiet. To get any normal level of sound you have to practically be eating the microphone, this of course means your audio quality is terrible and you have to have it pressed into your face. I desperately tried to find any fixes assuming it was my fault at first, the more research I did the more it became clear that this was a known technical fault with this model. Amazon offered a full refund or replacement so that was alright but it seems a bit of pot luck whether you'll get a microphone that works or not. I took the refund and I'm still looking for a better microphone.

Claims to be compatible with windows 10 but this is a lie. Its near impossible for it to work on window's 10 as it does not have any driver and snowball does not make drivers for this product. Now its just junk since it cant work without a driver. Hopefully i will return this or see if the snowball website can help. Their FAQ is also just as useless giving a request form as the only solution.

I often play PC games however don't find wearing a full headset comfortable.

The Blue Snowball is an excellent device. Its unbelievably simple to use (literally plug and play) and the sound quality has been described as better than the headset I was using prior to purchasing (which was a £350 Sennheiser headset mic). It also has the option to use on something like a suspension boom arm which is very handy.

The main selling point for me about the Snowball is that it seems to pick up sound perfectly even when placed quite far away. I often have it a foot or so away from me (to the left or right) and have never been told I am hard to hear. Additionally, it seems to be excellent at filtering out background noise (people I was speaking to were unable to hear keyboard typing or mouse clicks, or louder sounds like doors opening and closing).

The only down side to the Snowball is that it does not come with a hard mute button. You can obviously mute it with software, or just unplug it, but a mute button would warrant a 5 star review for me.
