Thick windscreens for dynamic girll mics

These are thick and excellent windscreens. I'd say these windscreens make a complimentary to your dynamic grill mic. At $2 a windscreen, these definitely aren't cheap but they don't feel that cheap either. Very thick, as thick as a pencil and they do a wonderful job at stopping plosives and light wind. They also make your microphone look arguably more professional. I am using 2 of the 5, one for my Blue Yeti (which, by the way it barely can cover... not the windscreens' faults, they're not made for a Yeti, but it can cover the front while revealing the bottom of the back which is no problem for cardioid use) and the other for my Pyle-Pro PDMIC58 which it fits like a glove on.

Overall I wouldn't recommend these windscreens for a Blue Yeti, as nice as that would be. But I will say they fit like a glove on dynamic grill mics like the Shure SM58, are built well for the price and do a pretty dang good job.

All the way from Hong Kong

This item(s) were shipped to me directly from Hong Kong which I found to be somewhat odd. I have carefully examined all 5 of these Bluecell windscreens and can find no fault in them. These will fit average sized ball head mics. They have a bit of stretch to them which is nice for mics with larger heads. Black in color and are approximately 3/8ths of an inch thick.

Cut the plosives, roaring, pops, hisses

These work, it's much harder to make the "pop" noise by accident when singing plosives ("baby p(BOOM!)leeease..."), and with this protecting your mic, the wind doesn't make it sound like you are singing/playing in the Midtown Tunnel at rush hour. On the other hand, the foam may annoy other people using the mic. I had one person insist that the foam was making my mic feedback... nah, a foam windscreen doesn't do that. Adding an extra mic (mine) in between three already-present mics, that might cause some trouble, especially when all four mics are level with or slightly ahead of the speakers. Whatever -- if you play outdoors and it can get windy, you need these. If your lead vocalist sings right up against the mike and his/her consonants sound like an artillery barrage, you need these. Came with a nice little velcro fastener to cinch it up securely.

I bought a bunch of these because I have a lot of microphones.

They do come in a package that has been vacuum sealed so they are distorted and miss shaped when you first take them out of the package. They also smell when you first take them out. But this problem was easily remedied: I washed them in some Woolite and let them air dry. Now they are in perfect shape and smell wonderful.

They are well constructed and obviously durable.

Have no fear if you purchase these; you will be happy with your decision to do so.

Durable and Effective

These sturdy microphone covers do an excellent job of protecting my microphones on my PC and karaoke machine. I conduct small-scale religious services, and so microphones are a necessity, but most do not come with covers. These covers are a very affordable solution, and are durable enough that I have never had to replace one in the almost-one-year that I have been using them. They are a bit thick, which is good for singing and speaking the way we do in our services.

Just as a side note, this set includes only one Velcro band to secure the cover on a microphone on which it fits loosely. You don't need it anyway if the microphones are big enough, but if your microphones are small and you need a band for each microphone cover, you will have to buy more bands than this set includes.

Nice Windscreens

When I purchased this item, there were no reviews, so I was duly apprehensive about buying it. The one question I had was if it worked on the Zoom H1 Recorder. The answer is YES. They fit beautifully and are priced well too. They also fit on my standard sized microphone as well, so were a great buy. They come vacuum sealed but I just wet the outside of the screens and rubbed my hand over them and the creases went away. Great buy all around.
