2. Clear Packing Tape
3. 2, 5mm LEDs
4. 1 CR2032 Battery
Sandwich the battery between 2 LEDs (remember, short to short/long to long). Wrap tightly with clear packing tape. Flat-tape to underside of your disc. Throw that B in the dark! (And easily spot it when you totally screw up that shot).
These are also great for make-shift basket lights; same concept as above.
I bought these for the LED junk drawer. Was playing with one and a resistor showing my 9 year old Daughter how to make simple circuits. She turned the knob on the variable supply waaaaay up to about 15 volts when the resistor I selected (220 ohms) was for 5 volts. The LED survived more than 10 minutes running at 15v @ nearly 70 mA! I'm NOT recommending it, but it was impressive. I'm sure the LED's lifespan has been radically shortened, but it was still burning bright (and very warm to the touch).
Lastly: A large number of hobbyists have noted a significant and uneven 'fading' of brightness and color-fast-ness on discount LEDs, I cannot speak to these yet, but if I find that they drift over time (as I am able), then I will note that in my review.
