These headphones intrigued me because I prefer over-the-ear headphones for comfort, sound signature, and build quality. The build quality on these are outstanding...best I've seen for wireless headphones close to this price. They feel expensive and there are two ways to adjust them for the perfect fit. They swivel, unlike any headphones I've owned, and this really helps to get them tight fitting. The swivel is not loose at all if that's a concern. Padding is thick and comfortable around the ear cups and also on the headband. They fold up nicely as you can see in one of my pictures. The ear cups are a little smaller inside than other headphones I've tested. My average size ears do not completely fit inside. It's not uncomfortable, but it may be a problem if you have larger ears. Long listening sessions did not cause discomfort even when it was pressing on my ears.
On the left ear cup, a 1/8 inch input allows you to connect an included cable to use these like regular wired headphones. That's nice to have if your battery dies, since this still works if the headphones are off. I've personally never used this feature on any of my headphones because that pretty much defeats the purpose of buying wireless. A dedicated wired headphone is always going to sound better than bluetooth wireless because of compression, all things being equal. If you want to used a wired connection only, buy a wired headphone and get more bang for your buck.
The right ear cup has your micro usb charging port. It has no flap or cover. The box included a micro usb cable, but no charger. Like most headphones now, chargers are absent from packaging. On the backside of the right ear, 2 click buttons are present for volume up and down. Pressing the buttons make bigger shifts in volume than just holding them down, which makes the volume slowly and smoothly change. It's nice to have both options. The power button is about an inch below the volume buttons. Holding it will turn the headphones on and off. When you want to pair the headphones, start with the headphones being powered off. Hold down the power button even after you are prompted the unit is on, until the voice prompt says "ready to pair." About 7 seconds. Below the power button is a wheel clicker that functions as track skips and play/stop. You push it in to play and stop, and you turn it up and down to skip tracks. I really like the fact that all of the buttons are different and easy to distinguish when you have them on your head and can't see. Plus they are all on the same side.
Sound is very subjective. It's an inexact science. I can only give you my interpretation of what I personally hear from these headphones. They are average at best for sound quality. I have never heard a pair of Bluedio headphones before this. Nothing stands out at all. You would think a 57mm driver would give the manufacturer some ability to do some great things on the low end. Yes, there is bass...but it's muddy bass. There is no clarity to the bass. No depth. The whole 60-230 Hz area is just way too muddy for me. My biggest problem with this headphone is clarity over the entire range. There isn't a lot of separation and most instruments feel muddied together. It also feels like the sound is slightly behind a wall or veil.
This headphone is capable of different EQ settings by pushing Volume + and - at the same time, but there are no instructions as to what settings, or how many, are available. No setting really fixes the clarity issue for me. They can get louder than any average listener would want. I do not notice any sound leakage since these are closed headphones and the fit can get nice and tight. Also, I'm assuming these aren't Apt-X capable. It doesn't advertise that and it isn't on the box. Someone can please correct me if I'm wrong and I'll edit. Apt-X is a better form of compression that may help preserve some clarity and detail when listening vs the old standard bluetooth compression. It's also supposed to be lower latency. Most new smartphones and devices have it, but it will only work if your headphones and device both are capable of Apt-X.
When you quickly compare different headphones in the same listening session, with the same source material, it's much easier to pick up some of these criticisms vs. just popping these on and listening for an hour. So please keep in mind, this is a critical review on the sound because sound is most important to me.
The phone aspect works great. Voices were clear from the other end. The other person told me they could hear me clearly as well. There is a small pinhole on the right ear that I assume is the microphone. They advertise echo suppression. I don't use headphones as my full time bluetooth device for talking, so I can't give an extensive review on that feature. For quick calls while I'm wearing them, they are perfectly fine.
SIGNAL & BATTERY:
The range is absolutely excellent on these. I could walk over 30 ft without hearing one hiccup in my music. Walls are going to make everyone's results vary, but these would be excellent to place your phone in a central location in the gym and not have to carry it. The battery is very good as well. As advertised on the box I would say.
CONCLUSION AND FINAL THOUGHTS:
One feature that may be useful to some is the "headphones as bluetooth receiver" option. I did not know it existed until I read the manual. I followed the directions and tried multiple times, but I could never get it to work. This option would allow you to stream music from your phone to a non-bluetooth capable device, like an older home stereo, by simply pairing the headphones to your phone and then plugging the headphones into the stereo.
My review stars are based on the product vs the price. For the price, these headphones are a perfectly fine value. The build quality and looks of the TS2 far exceed the price range. If you listen to three different headphones back to back to back and you have a hard time hearing or describing the differences, you shouldn't worry. If you are truly worried about audio quality as your number one feature in a bluetooth wireless headphone, then you'll probably have to spend a little bit more money. I'd also get an Apt-X capable pair if your device supports it.
I was very critical on the sound because that is the main factor for me. You may think I was too critical in my analysis of a $36 wireless headphone. I agree with you, but I gave it 4 stars because it falls in line with my sound expectation for what a $36 wireless headphone usually sounds like...which is not great. If an $80 headphone sounded like this, it would not get 4 stars. The build quality, range, battery, and the many dedicated buttons took my review from 3 stars to 4. My hope is that Bluedio spends a little more time on the audio aspect for the next model.
Quality: Pretty nice! Not exactly accurate, but it gives my music a rich, full sound that I can alter with EQ if I don't like it.
Design: I absolutely love the rotation element. (And you can still extend the length!) The engravings seem a bit tacky/overdone, though. Why not just print the audio driver and weird symbols in the manual?
These things look slick as heck. The striated pattern along the cups is eye catching and the chrome accents do some heavy lifting in the visual department as well. Build quality is sturdy. Everything is plastic, and just for the sake of acoustics plastic is generally what you want in headphones, but it all feels well put together and seems like it'll be able to take some decent punishment. The ear cups are a little tough to twist up and down at first and it gets easier with time but it doesn't seem like you'll have to worry about them getting too loose. All the buttons are clicky and easy to figure out and retain to muscle memory. The ear cups have a good feel when you push them in, like well baked bread they pop right back into shape. One neat little feature is that the headband is aerated, to keep your head cool and prevent it from getting sweaty underneath. The folding action does help quite a bit with keeping them portable too.
If you're looking for a bluetooth headset that's got punchy bass, has a futuristic design to it, and folds up for easier portability I'm not sure how you could do much better than the Bluedio Turbine T2s.

The first problem was that after first pairing them with Bluetooth from my sound system and using then for a while I discovered that they wouldn't turn off. I tried everything with the power button, long press, short press, multiple presses, all with no effect. The phones stayed stubbornly on. A quick search on the internet showed that this is a fairly common occurrence. The solution is to put the phones on the charger for a short period and then, magically, the power button works. Strange.
My second problem is more difficult and has proved to be one that I cannot deal with. I bought these headphones with the prime intention of using them with the TV. My hearing is not as good as it once was and I sometimes have difficulty with quiet passages, requiring the TV sound to be rather higher than wife is comfortable with. The solution to this problem previously was a rather old pair of Sony RF headphones, but these had become unreliable. However I found that these new, Bluetooth headphones have an significant time delay. This means that there is a lip-synch effect where the sound you hear is later than the lip movements that you see. To some degree I can live with that, but what is worse is that, because these headphones don't really mask external sounds, you can also hear the original TV sound from the loudspeakers. The result is that you first hear the TV sound followed very shortly afterwards by the headphone sound. In effect you hear an echo effect which is much less easy to ignore than the visual synch problem.
This delay problem would have no effect if I was only going to use them to listen to music, and the sound quality would be great for that, but my particular requirements cannot cope with the synch problems.
So, reluctantly, I decided to return them as unsuitable for my purpose. The return process being quick and easy, my account bring re-credited within two hours of my dropping the parcel off at the local mini-market for collection and return to Amazon. Great service.
Folding up neatly, with decent isze cuffs, these fit the bill, the connectivity is great on my tablet and the sound range is certainly good enough for me.
BT range is good I mowed the lawn with the Tablet on the Patio and didnt lose signal once even having gone to the front of the house (60 + ft)
No leakage (i asked the kids) so even at relatively high volume no issues, I cooked tea wearing them and they were comfortable ( they did not improve my cooking.....this would be too much to ask from a set of headphones)
These are going on Holiday with me.
Easy to charge , easy to pair too.
The build quality is good to fair considering the price, not noticeable issues at all really, comfortable to wear , I had them on for a couple of hours and they did not press to hard on my ears or my glasses , also they din't feel too hot considering I was moving about and doing the lawns
I like the angled set up too, not sure if this if functional or style driven
The manufactures guidelines for talk time and music time is impressive 1600 hours on standby?
In short nothing not to like about the fellas.
A good purchase indeed
UPDATE: The company has fantastic customer service, even though I gave them a three star rating which for some businesses may seem a decent review, they followed it up and made sure that all of the issues I had were addressed and that I was fully satisfied. 5 Stars for all the help.
The headphones may have not been the perfect fit for me but the company's customer service definitely was.
If you're considering buying then just give them a try, why not? Especially if you know that any issues will be resolved quickly!
They come in an attractive box with instructions, USB charging cable and 3.5mm audio lead, which can also be used to connect to another headset.
The earphones contain a 57mm driver and are ideal for listening to music or watching videos. The earpieces are adequately padded, blocking out considerable external noise. The sound is crisp and clear with a nice base. I use mine mainly for watching videos and listening to talk radio. Considering the price, I have no hesitation in giving top marks.
The hinge us unusual which is no bad thing but unfortunately it feels like they haven't allowed it to travel far enough forward. This means it's deficult to get a good fit (on my head anyway) as the head phones always seem to be angled slightly. This makes for uncomfortable listening over long periods time and leaves me with slightly sore ears after. This is my biggest issue with this headset. I'm hoping I'll get used to them though as I've only had them a few days.
Sound wise, not too bad at all given the price. They are a bit base heavy though so keep that in mind. Really not a bad sound though. Volume goes as loud as I need it to.
Outside noise isn't a big issue when wearing them. I've had them on in the same room as a TV and it's pretty much blocked out at medium volumes.
The instructions aren't great but if you've owned a BT headset before it isn't an issue. Standard "hold down on until you get the pairing message" then pair. Anything more complicated than that and I think you're probably on your own.
The pairing voice is quite comical. Fairly heavy accented. Sounds like Japanese. Very clear though but always makes me smile when I hear it.
Think that's about it. As I say, easy to recommend for the price but if you're planning on wearing these all day, I'd spend a bit more money personally. For me this is a BT heading for gaming in the same room as the Mrs whilst she watches TV so it's only about 3 or 4 hours and I'm hoping I'll get more used to them as time goes on.
Comfort - Ah, this is where there is a bit of a problem, and enough to lose a star. Basically, the cups are angled wrong for normal forwards-facing ears, and when you wear the headphones backwards the seal between cup and ear is much better, resulting in better bass. Was the designer born with backwards-facing ears?! If your music sounds fine with the left and right channels reversed then great, but if you're expecting instruments or spot effects to be in a certain place in the spread between your ears then you may well be annoyed with this. OK, so if you're wearing the 'phones the correct way around and holding the pads/cups flat against your ears then you should be fine, but that's not quite acceptable to me.
I've not had any problems with the headband cracking, or the buttons not responding (as others report), but that's possibly because (a) I haven't used it that much, and (b) maybe I've simply been lucky.
So, good headphones - it seems strange listening without a cable - with a little warning...
Regular quality, stay in your head, comfortable. What you’d expect for the price.
Then they stopped working. 2 miles into a 35 mile run. Not. Fun. At. All.
I contacted the seller and they said “all good, under warrantee, send us photos of the product charging and fully charged” and I thought. Excellent customer service for a faulty product.
Except I sent the photos. Didn’t hear back.
Sent them again. Didn’t hear back.
Sent a *very* casual “Sooooo, the headphones?” Email. Nothing.
It’s been weeks and weeks. Not cool.
I would say buy the headphones. Just not from this supplier.
The SOUND – impressive, at the loudest volume you can hear clear sound, deep bass give that extra kick, overall we are very happy with the sound.
The CONNECTIVITY – it’s very easy, just turn them on and a voice will let you know that power is on and that they are ready to pair, turn the blutooth on your phone and pair. You’re good to go. In terms of range I have better set than these but mine is also 3 x more expensive. For the price I think connectivity is all right, room to room rather than floor to floor. There is an option of wireless connectivity or cable (great for when your battery goes flat).
The MATERIAL – the pads are made of soft leather and seem memory foam, very soft and comfortable to wear. The plastic could be bit better but again for that price it is satisfactory.
The FUNCTIONS – I like the position of the function buttons on the headset – they are kinda at the back – making it easy to operate them with the tips of your fingers. I like it.
Overall I like the product because the sound is great! And that’s what’s it all about! Plus you don’t have to pay too much, considering teenager will be operating them it’s always a plus!
I'm disappointed, as they worked well, when they were working. I certainly won't be purchasing this brand again.
The controls on the headphones are easy to use. However, I found that on some music apps the pause / play, forward and reverse buttons were not compatible with the player. I tried a different app on my Samsung and now everything works OK. Not a fault with the headphones, just app incompatibility.
I also like the "maximum volume reached" message if you turn the volume up too much. I also use my headphones whilst using my Samsung VR headset which boosts my experience.
Wireless range is excellent. We have had our phones in the downstairs lounge and been out in the back garden or upstairs with no loss of signal.
Charging is very quick too. All in all we love these headphones and would highly recommend them.
The sound via Bluetooth would be described as good with plenty of Bass although playing some Flac tracks via Fidelia lifted the sound considerably. I mainly use these for late night TV viewing and have to say they are pretty good. Bluetooth 4.1 does a good job of keeping battery use down and fidelity up. If you want hifi wireless cans with good battery life, try these. You can't get much better for £20.
Update: I've used these every night for 3-5 hours and they ran low after 2 weeks which is amazing. My previous Headphones lasted 3 nights before needing a charge.
Update: The headband has now snapped like a lot of other customers who reviewed the headphones and I tried to find out how to return these but the company is in China. So, after 5 months these are bin material.
Amazon have given me a full refund and provided me with a free returns label. As soon as I dropped them off at a local Collect+ shop, I was refunded! What service! I've replaced them with the same model in White which does seem better made. The adjusters are more positive, the sound is better and deeper and the headband clamps my ears a bit tighter but not uncomfortably. Only time will tell if these are stronger but the headband does seem a little thicker.
First impressions are that they're incredibly comfy, but yet to find out if they remain so after a really long session.
They were a bit of a pain in the ass to get connected to my PC Bluetooth, but did so eventually moreso own PC fault.
The sound quality is pretty decent, however, at low sound volumes you will hear a buzzing of sort which'll turn off the instant there's no longer any sound with a little pop. If you're playing something that keeps turning on and off it's sounds like a weird indie game that popping will become annoying.
If you turn it up enough to about 40% or so, it's impossible to notice so probably won't be an issue.
This is the price we pay for a wireless headphone, and I think it's worth it to be honest. The amount I use my headphones, the wires break after a month or so. This is my first wireless and want to see how long this'll last. Or at the very least, how long the recharging wires will last. Which on that note, are INCREDIBLY short in length. If you think you can wear these while recharging you're kidding yourself.
Extremely comfy still after 16 hours of use. Battery life is extremely long so far.
Most importantly, the range of the bluetooth is extremely long too. It covers my entire house and more, even through floors and walls. This is probably because of my Laptop, I doubt it'd be the same for a phone, but regardless it's freaking fantastic!
