Bluefishing is an instant classic. A lean, rollicking, all killer-no filler playbook on what it takes to reach the pinnacle of your craft from one of the most unique and fascinating entrepreneurs in the world. Steve Sims is one of a kind. I had the privilege of briefly assisting him on a few small projects some years back and it was one of those formative experiences that really taught me the importance of delivering beyond expectations as Steve does on a daily basis. What struck me most about Steve was his incredible humility despite having achieved so much in his life. In a world of outsized egos and unearned arrogance, Steve was the real deal - a generous and gracious mentor with a tremendous amount of knowledge to impart. I'll always be grateful to him for giving me my first shot and having the patience to teach me some much needed lessons in business and life.
If you buy one book this year, make it this one. Highly recommended in every sense.
I love how Steve inserts his own story into the book in an open and vulnerable way -- not in a manipulative rags-to-riches fashion that so many "leaders" tend to do, but rather with an identifiable authenticity that is far too rare.
Grab this book immediately and get to it! Read it, study it, listen to it, and live it.
No matter what your lot in life or where along the journey you are, this book will inspire and incite you in the best ways possible.
Yet you and I operate every single day under unwritten rules — that hold us back and keep us stuck. Worse off, we live other's lives instead of our own. I've read hundreds of books in personal development, success, living a better life and let's face it:
They're all saying the same things.
Enter BLUEFISHING — a no holds barred, practical page-turner full of wisdom and real life application. No, you won't meditate your way to millions, but you'll find a way to make things happen in a way you never have before, and have the time of your life doing it.
Steve's personality oozes off every page — with the raw truth you and I rarely get in today's world.
Run, don't walk towards this.
Take everything you ever thought you knew about taking care of the people you work with... and now throw it all out the window after reading this book.
Having listen to Steve Sims on a few podcasts and meeting him in person, he is the real deal. This book gives great insight to how to approach everything from the people in your circle, the walls and doors we put up on our own and the tools to take our limiting beliefs and toss them out the window.
Having read the book once so far, I have already started using some of the tips he has throughout the entire book to improve the way I do my day to day interactions with people and businesses.
