Okay, I know I give a lot of 5 stars but thats because I love these books I'm reading so much. Plus, if I do stumble on a book I don't like, then I just don't rate it, cause something I don't like, others will love.

This book was smoking hotttttt. I loved it the most out of all the books and thats saying a lot because the first book was soooooo good. It's been my favorite up until now.

I loved the humor in this book. There was humor in all the books, but it really shown through in this one, and I could feel the emotions rolling off of each person. I was tense during the football games, cheering when she kicked some butt, and laughing during the facials. I loved this story and highly recommend to anyone who loves more than a romance story. I love my romances to go on and on, and I will be on pins and needles until the next in this series comes out. Let's all just tie Kathleen Brooks to her desk until the entire series is complete :)

I really did not like this book much at all. The storyline itself wasn't bad. However, I really felt like it was written by a teenager or amateur. First, there were a lot of grammatical errors, which COULD be a Kindle thing and not the author's fault, but I found them distracting nonetheless. On to the story...
I think it was supposed to be a mix of action and romance, with a little comedy mixed in. I think it failed on all three (well, I *did* laugh on occasion but more because it was so ridiculous). The story of undercover agent brings down a violent drug ring was ridiculous. It was so unrealistic and silly...they even referred to the criminals by the names of the three stooges who literally fell over each other multiple times. The attack scenes were just laughable (and not in a good way). Plus, everything just fell into place a little TOO easily.
As far as romance, if you want a steamy novel, this is NOT it. There is only the briefest mention of sex. Romantic comedy movies are hotter than this book. Nothing about this book is remotely realistic, and I just couldn't taken anything about it seriously. Sorry. A lot of people seem to like it based on the reviews, but I wish I had known some of this before I got the book.

Kathleen Brooks has done it again! I loved the story line and the characters. Immediately you become aware of the love and caring that went into writing this book. This is the fourth Bluegrass book, and I can't wait until the fifth comes out!

I was lucky enough to find her first three books this winter and read them back to back. The fourth book did not disappoint. I recommend starting at the very beginning since Ms. Brooks does such a great job setting the scene, introducing you to a wonderful array of memorable characters. Still, even if your desire is just to start with Bluegrass Undercover I say go for it! This book has good suspense and a great romance!

So, with free downloads, it is often hit or miss and lately there have been a lot of misses. The main character is described as being good at her job, but I really didn't see any evidence of that.

1. She is not a good judge of competence or character - for instance she assumes that the main guy is completely helpless and can't defend himself on no real evidence.
2. The author has her go undercover in Miami in a teeny tiny bikini, but has her hide a gun in the back??? You couldn't hide a credit card in a tiny bikini without it being visible, much less a gun!
3. Likewise, in her role as a guidance counselor, she effortlessly breaks up fights with 'roided up football players. She also handles multiple goons at once (in a badly written and inflated fight scene). Yet, (..........SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER.........) when it comes to fighting the actual bad guy, who is much smaller and less physically powerful, it is a tough fight for her.
4. She is hot headed and rushes in without thinking, again, not a good trait in a secret undercover agent. And she doesn't seem to have any official backup, just random townspeople who seem to be at the right place at the right time despite her.
5. Worst of all, her game plan seems to be to actively direct the CHILDREN at her school to a drug dealer (through the coach) and hope that one of then then comes to her and admit what is happening. WHAT?! No cameras installed at the bad guy's headquarters, no young looking agents posing as students, no phone taps, nothing professional like that. Just literally send actual kids over there to buy the potentially lethal drug and hope that one of them cracks and goes to her/the police. TERRIBLE!
6. And why would anyone even take these drugs? Everyone who was on them got worse at football, not better! What is the point?

Oh, and the love story. Tepid. It was hard to care since the character was so annoying.

I loved this book. I agree with the other reviewers that it is the best of the series. I couldn't put it down and finished in one day (it is a full length novel). All the characters are well developed, and I love catching up with past characters from the previous books. This book had a lot of football in it, which I am not a huge fan of but I didn't mind it and was really interesting to read about. I felt like I was either on the sidelines with Cade or in the stands watching with Annie. There were more laughs in this book than I have read in a romance in awhile.

The story centers around Annie, an undercover DEA agent and Cade the football coach taking down a drug ring for high school steriods. The action and bad guys were the most entertaining parts. And of course I love reading about an over protective male with a special forces background thinking he needs to protect his women who doesn't need protecting.

Cade & Annie's story was great. I can't wait to read more from this series. If you haven't read the first 3 books you could probably read this book and still enjoy the whole story, but I would recommend starting from the beginning. It looks like Marshall is up next.
